Hot on the heels of Endian's highly regarded 'XS-10' comes a full EP from Secretsundaze favourite Fred P. After his contribution to the first Dance 2017 V/A EP, Secretsundaze thought they would get him to contribute a full EP. Fred is without doubt a master of his craft both as a DJ and producer and somehow manages to be prolific while keeping the bar set high, releasing across many platforms from his own Soul People Music to Ibadan to Mule to Ostgut Ton.A1 track '6AM' does what it says on the tin and is a moody, tribal percussive number with a voodoo like vibe. 'Herb' is a more psychedelic affair with weird off-kilter alien jazz keys, spooky voices and rumbling bass. Last up there is a timeless, classic, more typically spiritual Fred P track in 'Mile High' with its slow build groove, gentle keys, soaring strings and ethereal vocal harmonies which will surely become a 'moment' in many of the deeper DJs sets.

After the tremendous success of Private Society Vol. 1 we find the artist known as Fred P diving once again into the vaults to bring forth a track he has been playing in sets across Japan. “On The Beach” is a piece of bliss warped in audio form that takes you from you current reality to an utopian one that replenishes your energies in a way that only the ocean can. This gem has been nestled in the expansive catalog of the Private Society initiative since 2020 and is now seeing a vinyl release along with an exclusive stripped down reprise to go along with it. Following this heartfelt piece of art comes a Reshape of Black Jazz Consortium’s “Mystical Sunshine”. Taken from a forthcoming project, Fred P reconstructs and adapts this future jazz abstraction for the dance floor. Accompanying is a deep dark Tribal dub that takes this tune to yet another realm. Private Society Vol. 2 does not miss a step and if this is an indication of whats to come, hold on to your seats.

There was a time many years ago a artist wonder the west side highway in New York City. He would listen to cassette tapes on his walk-man and visualize the images that the sounds brought to his mind. In those days this sound was new, futuristic and thought provoking. He Would have visions of a world full of compassion, understanding and togetherness. A world where everyone were saw themselves in one another a place of true love and respect for their fellow beings. The artist would walk for hours spending time in this imaginary place as it represented hope and inspiration. This gave him fuel for what he would years later become.
Who is this artist you may ask? His name is Fred P.
Reminiscent Era is a call back to those days of the Westside Highway where Fred would listen continuously the deep emotive music that put him in a trance like state. Almost dream like as he would wander for hours in another world hoping for a brighter future. The music presented here represents the mood and emotions if his foot steps could talk. Each step a chapter in a story. Minimal, lush and deep music designed for the mind to assist in a deeper Concentration.
My hope is to reach the people who may be in that space I was in all those years ago. My hope Is to provide the same inspiration within the music that was bestowed upon my on those cassette tapes. Prolific remixer, versatile producer & a well-respected DJ, Simbad (aka SMBD) is a stalwart of the underground music scene in UK & has had a very fertile career so far.
Because of his vast arrays of releases, it’s very hard to put him into any box or music category although as the Frenchy says himself, it's all about soul in all forms & shapes. And timelessness.
Since his 2007 album Supersonic Revelation & his worldwide acclaimed dancefloor hit Soul Fever, Simbad has been constantly traveling the five continents entertaining delighted clubbers with his super energetic dj skills or producing and recording various artists from many different genres including deeper Dubstep don Mala (DMZ), UK Hip Hop star Roots Manuva, Cuban songstress Dayme Arocena, Detroit House producer Kai Alce, Berlin-based deep Techno artist Fred P, Seun Kuti from Afrobeat’s most famous family, Brazilian superstar artist/actor Seu Jorge and being production mentor for the king of cool, radio DJ Gilles Peterson (who made him one of the residents at his Worldwide Festivals).

Bahidorá is an integral project that is continuously developing. Through transforming collective experiences, art and music curatorship and the constant promotion of a positive global and conscious culture; El Carnaval keeps providing platforms in Mexico for expression, culture, and communities.

Fred P on Opposite Of Lost stage.. From 2014 to 2018, Horst Arts & Music took place on the idyllic Castle grounds in Holsbeek. It grew into an internationally renowned platform for showcasing cutting-edge electronic music, inventive in-situ art, and architecture. Horst aligned a three-day immersive music festival with longer-term trajectories in which architects were invited to create unique stages and dancefloors, and in which contemporary artists were commissioned to enter into dialogue with their surroundings through site-specific new productions.
This new chapter builds on the insights from over the past five years but touches wider than ever before. As a first expression of our new ambitions, Horst will unfold into a cutting-edge Lab, an Exhibition with new in-situ artwork and a three-day Festival momentum. With these initiatives, we strive to further develop young and creative talent and positively impact spaces and cities where we operate.
