He is widely considered to be one of the most influential figures in techno music and has been credited with helping to develop the genre from its roots in Detroit into a global phenomenon.Jeff Mills began his career as a DJ in the early 1980s and in 1987 he joined the group Underground Resistance, which became a major force in the development of techno music.
