Taken from the Change Request’s 2019 Dufflebag Recordings LP, “RiteOnRed”, this single features the original rare-groove mix of “La Puerta Para Siempre” alongside a motley menage of remixes. Natural Rhythm’s Thomas White shows out with a DJ Toma version of this song that comes right out of the Soul II Soul beat lab with a modern medley of Acid Jazz. Reinterpreting this original stepper cut into Smooth Jack Swing.
San Antonio’s House Music staple, John Pridgen comes correct with a straightforward dance floor dub. Speeding up the original and priming the cut for a late-night dance excursion. Rounding out this collection of remixes comes a version from the Dallas trip-hop duo known as The marsSaturn Sound. Truly embarking on a totally different sonic landscape, this last remix delivers a soulful sonic symphony, ensuring something for everyone on this well-rounded single.
