A cloud hangs over the vacations, the barbecues, the fireflies, and the lemonade that we typically would associate with summer. There is also a good deal of uncertainty about when and whether it will be safe for many schools to open on time for the fall semester, given the rising number of CoronaVirus cases in diverse places.
