As we dive deeper into the topic of observing ourselves with Clefinnairobi, we look at the specific aspects of our inner experience that we should be observing. We go into becoming aware of our thoughts, emotions, habits and even triggers. So as to take charge of what we feel inside and of how we respond to life. Instead of our reactions being on autopilot mood, we are choosing how we respond.

Observing ourselves is all about looking within. It's the foundation of transformation. We cannot change, transformation, grow without being aware of what it is that derails our growth. We grow the awareness of our inner experience so as to take charge of it. With Clefinnairobi we start first by looking at what it means to observe ourselves and taking a stand as the witness and watcher of our thoughts and emotions.

This is the final chunk of the Dealing with Anxiety miniseries and we're looking at what to do whilst in the actual experience of an anxiety attack. We approach this from 2 aspects; one is dealing with the frequency of the attacks and 2, the strength of the attack. For us to reduce the frequency of the anxiety attacks we experience, we need to cultivate a general sense of calm and easeness within ourselves. How we can do this is by training ourselves - training our minds - to deliberately focus our awareness to the present moment. (To get out of our heads and into our immediate raw reality) This is by practicing mindfulness. In this episode, we dive into mindfulness and practical ways in which we can incorporate this practice into our lives. [This is a continuation of the Dealing with Anxiety miniseries] Let's dive in...

We need a better understanding of the anxiety we experience: this is intertwined with understanding our pain & the relationship we have with it. With an understanding of the pain, we then open a window of us getting to the root of the anxiety (& resistance). In this episode we explore the concept of attachment to pain and I do use the phrase 'like your pain' to refer to attachment. However, I do not mean like in a sense of having some sort of affection for the pain (or deriving pleasure from it) , I mean it in the context of attachment. In that there's an unconscious identification with the pain and an unconscious holding on to it.

Anxiety has become something that is rampant in this day and age. Thou this is not something that has to control our lives, we tend to think that it already does. We have the notion that we cannot gain control over it but the thing is, we do have the power to manage it. In this miniseries of dealing with anxiety, I share what helped me manage the anxiety I was experiencing and get to a space where the anxiety is mild, manageable and almost null. In this 1st segment, it's all about how we identify with it.

Despite this thou, we don't take action as often as we should in our lives and this derails us from making progress. So what is this that derails us from taking action? Why is it so hard to just do it? Today, we're understanding the grid that is taking action.
