Gaia’s Dance, Part I

Conversations with Elisabet Sahtouris, scientist, evolution biologist and futurist. Professor Sahtouris is an international sustainability consultant to businesses, government agencies and other organizations. In her book, Gaia’s Dance, Elisabet Sahtouris describes the scientific story of evolution showing parallels with the ancient Greek story of Earth, while unfolding it scientifically to reveal how our own amazing bodies trace their roots to ancient bacterial cooperatives and how the essence of biological evolution is a repeating maturation process in which youthful competition gives way to mature cooperation. As we learn how our own smart molecule proteins manage our cellular economies, she shows how we ourselves can navigate the perfect storm of crises we face and mature quickly into a healthy, cooperative human future.
