Episode 11 of Inside Warhawk Athletics Presented by Educators Credit Union includes a conversation with former UW-Whitewater football assistant head coach and defensive coordinator Rob Erickson, who was on the Warhawk staff from 2015-19 before accepting his current position of cornerbacks coach/special teams coordinator at South Dakota State University. Erickson helped UW-Whitewater to a 56-9 record during his five years running the defense, including three national semifinal appearances and a bid to the 2019 Stagg Bowl (NCAA Division III national championship game). Graduate assistant Nate Tranel, who played as a defensive back under Erickson for three seasons, talks with Erickson about his journey in coaching, his favorite memories of coaching at UW-Whitewater and his transition to his new role.

The second half of the podcast includes a conversation between graduate assistant Kelly Storti and Kaitlin Bowe, a former teammate and member of the Warhawk golf team from 2015-19. During her career, Bowe, a native of Franklin, Wis., was a part of two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships and two NCAA Championship bids, serving as an alternate at the 2018 national tournament before playing in the NCAA lineup as a senior in 2019. She was a four-year Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar, four-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and 2018-19 UW-Whitewater Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete. Storti and Bowe discuss Bowe’s playing career at UW-Whitewater, the academic opportunities available to her, and her career as an accountant.
