A nationally ranked all-star cheerleader and gymnast, recovering alcoholic/addict, suicide survivor, and mom of four, Kelsie educates communities on the dangers of trauma and its impact on mental health and addiction. Entering into recovery in 2006 at the age of sixteen, she is a trauma survivor whose lived through teen incarceration, traumatic brain injuries both on and off the mat, mental health disorders, and in 2017 survived a suicide attempt in the thick of a relapse; leading to long term recovery.
Now, thirty-one years old, four years sober, and over a decade of experience in recovery, she shares her story of trauma survival with the hopes of ending mental health stigma while inspiring others to live unashamed with purpose.
