‘Athlone A Cappella’ – A group of more than 50 Female Singers, who love to make music, was formed in 2012, and has since developed into a multi-award winning chorus, achieving a myriad of International Choral Festival, and other Trophies, performing a cappella style 4-part close vocal harmony. They are also proud to have been judged as the National Female Barbershop Chorus Champions on 4 separate occasions, and are the current National Champions.

The group is based in Athlone but attracts its membership from in and around the Midlands. And under the Direction of their Musical Director, David Farmer, the Chorus travels the length and breadth of Ireland, with occasional trips abroad, performing their rich and varied repertoire, which includes songs from the ‘Musical Theatre’, Jazz, Gospel, Rock, and ‘Popular’ Music of every era.
