The Memory Lane Choir is a choir for older people and people with Dementia, which meets every Wednesday morning in the St. Agnes Community Centre For Music and Art, (CCMA). The choir has been in existence since 2013 and its members are drawn from the Crumlin area and further afield. The choir includes people with dementia and other special needs, their carers, family members and volunteers. The CCMA, under Sr. Bernadette Sweeney, provides rehearsal facilities, as well as opportunities for the choir to perform on a number of occasions throughout the year. Most recently, some of the choir sang at the National Age Friendly Recognition & Achievement Awards Ceremony, hosted by Dublin City Council, in the Conference Centre in Croke Park, along with members of the Crumlin Community Choir and the Happy Voices Choir from Maryfield Nursing Home.
In this recording the choir performs the popular Walking In The Air, from The Snowman, by Howard Blake.
The piano accompanist is Celine Carroll. Choir Director: Gerry Noonan
