St. Mary's High School, Downpatrick is a girls secondary school established by the Sisters of Mercy 61 years ago. Music is a very popular extra curricular activity in school with many pupils staying behind to take part in a variety of ensembles. At this time of year the choir play a very active role in the community singing in the local nursing homes and hospitals.

The piece the Chamber Choir will perform is Quem Pastores. It is an 11th Century Carol and this 3 part unaccompanied setting is arranged and directed by the Head of Music Cathal Murphy.
