The National Treasury Management (NTMA) choir was established in November 2015 and we put on our first performance of Christmas music 6 weeks later for our colleagues. With almost 40 members, we rehearse in the office every Monday at lunchtime.

Some members of the choir sang in the RTE production “Centenary” at the Bord Gais theatre as part of the 1916 celebrations, and in May 2017 we entered the Workplace Choir of the year competition, and were delighted to make it through to the final 8. Our Christmas performance has now become an annual event and we are currently working hard to get ready for our staff performance on December 18th.

Piece performed: Xmas Carol medley performed live in the Treasury Building in December 2016 for staff. The medley was arranged by Carmel Whelan and features snippets from the following:

God rest ye Merry Gentlemen; Good King Wenceslas; The Holly & the Ivy; Hark the Herald Angels sing; Ding dong merrily on high; Silent Night; O come all ye faithful; We wish you a merry Xmas; Joy to the World.
