Laetare Vocal Ensemble is a mixed choir based in Dublin City Centre. Formed in 2014 by conductor Róisín Blunnie, the choir is fast developing a profile in Irish choral performance.

Laetare has had a busy year – they released their debut CD ‘In Circling Flight’, featuring music by contemporary Irish composers Rhona Clarke, Seán Doherty, and John Buckley; they won the ‘Ireland’s Choir of the Year’ award at the Cork International Choral Festival, and on their first trip to the City of Derry International Choir Festival, they came away with 2nd prize overall, the CMC Trophy for Irish choral music, and the festival’s special award to a conductor.

The choir also features on the critically acclaimed album ‘West to the Evening Sun’ released recently by singer-songwriter Ailie Blunnie.
