Sean Khan returns to BBE Music with single ‘Naima’, another offering taken from his new album ‘Supreme Love’, featuring a show-stopping remix from Atjazz.
With sold out shows at iconic London venue Ronnie Scott’s under his belt to celebrate the release of his LP ‘Supreme Love: A Journey through Coltrane’, Sean Khan will be playing alongside Jazzanova at The Jazz Cafe (Camden) on the 23rd of April 2022, so BBE Music decided to release this stunning single to mark the occasion.
Featuring vocals from Cinematic Orchestra front-woman Heidi Vogel, Sean Khan’s interpretation of the Coltrane classic ‘Naima’ is string-drenched and spiritual. Although a clear departure from the original, the emotional imprint of the original remains in between the notes and spaces.
Featuring brand new flute lines recorded by Sean Khan especially for his remix, UK production don Atjazz turns in a dreamy, languid version of ‘Naima’, with relaxed, lazy rhythms and glistening keys.
