I recently sat down and had a great chat with Dr, Hill. I think there are a couple reasons I enjoyed the conversation:

1) Dr Hill is really an MD that understands and sees treatment through the eyes of a PT. He was influenced during his training by some great PTs and his ability to see rehabilitation from a different point of view is refreshing for a PT and , I think, beneficial for his patients.

2) We had a good frank, open discussion on healthcare and rehabilitation and where we find issues and problems, with the system in general, and with practitioners ( including ourselves). It was a nice introspective discussion.

Among other topics we discussed:

  • His training and influences that led him to become "the running doc"

  • The PT influences through his life

  • High value versus low value care

  • His recent experience as a patient

  • The amazing story of his daughter becoming a runner

  • His current 'Power Running' program for runners who want to become stronger and faster
