Telecast - #018 - Telecasting to the cosmos! It’s been two years since I uploaded the first Telecast and to celebrate, I made one that’s extra long. I’m going back to the original idea I first had when starting this series. It’s something I should be doing a lot more actually. Just go out and record music and other sounds. Lisbon is teeming with great live music and so it shouldn’t be hard to find something nice.

This time I recorded music in a little bar in Alfama that has amazing live music every day of the week. After a nice dinner, we decided we wanted some music as dessert. The owner Jon Luz was playing together with some other, also very talented, artists on guitar.

The song sets a beautiful tone for the rest of the Telecast and I hope it hits you just as much as it did us when we sat there. Though the recording isn’t the best, you can still hear the emotion pouring from your speakers. Jon has been doing this for a long time and knows exactly what he’s doing. He gets the crowd of just 25 people really going in an intimate setting. I love how everyone starts singing along on his cue. And besides that, the song really sticks in your head.
