In 1983, after attending massage school, she started offering massage to both patients and staff.. In 1989, funding was obtained to allow her to stop her nursing duties, and only offer massage. Since that time, the in-patient Healing Arts Program became part of the Palliative Care Team, and Briane now supervises 6 part-time massage therapists.
