It’s 2:40am. The 12th of June. The starry sky has a few more lights in it tonight. I was one of those stars. Flying through the night sky in my prop plane, I noticed one star that really shouldn’t have been there.
It moved along the sky with me as I cut through the crisp air.
I lost track of it a few times but it never left my mind. Hours went by like minutes. The fuel gauge never waivered.

My plane fell.
I continued on my flight plan.
The sky was empty, a black void that filled my view.
