• Oklahoma’s wide receiver injuries have doomed its offense.
• South Carolina remains a tough out every week, but the Gamecocks have to get the turnovers under control if they want to turn losses into wins.
• Tennessee survived Florida despite passing game troubles.
• Texas clearly seems to be the league’s best team, but the Longhorns have yet to face a standout offense.
• Texas A&M is riding a five-game winning streak into Mississippi State, and rested after an impressive blowout of Missouri two weeks ago.
• Vanderbilt pulled its third outright upset as a double-digit underdog with a win at Kentucky.
