Trudeau's federal government is making changes to the Canada Labour Code starting September 1st 2019.

The changes will apply to federally regulated businesses - banks, air transport, radio and television, and telecommunications among other entities - and affect shift changes and scheduling, overtime refusal, medical breaks, rest periods, flex work request, personal leave, vacation entitlements, and holiday pay.

Employment lawyer Lior Samfiru, partner at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, joined host Jeff McArthur on Global News Radio 640 Toronto to explain what the changes mean for employees and employers across Canada.
