Isaac only gets a very short mention in Hebrews 11 - and for something he was actually tricked into doing! How then was he eligible for a mention in the "Hall of Fame"? God's ways are not our ways and clearly Isaac did enough - he did have a basic track record of faithfulness recorded in Genesis which is explored here. Rob also argues that Hebrews 11 is at least as much about God's faithfulness as it is about the faithfulness of those ancients commended for their faith.
