Jesus gave parables to give us a proper focus. Following Jesus means we focus on what Jesus focused on. He focused on the lost in Luke 15:1-7. Who do you know that is lost like the sheep in the parable? Are you willing to search after them like Jesus did? Being a Christ follower filled with love, we are called to action by faith and to have the compassion Jesus had on the lost.
