This lovely historical romance is filled with danger and adventure from the start. I could not stop reading to see what would happen next as Ellie Lou and Caleb faced threats in the form of an unexpected blizzard, physical injuries, and a dangerous outlaw. Their relationship grew and strengthened as together they faced the obstacles life threw at them. But more than just the story of a beautiful romance, it is the themes of faith and trusting God when He seems silent that make this story so very special. Convincing Lou is a wonderful reminder that God has a purpose for the hard times we face, and He never leaves His children to walk through the storms alone.
Though this story was the fourth in Jodie Wolfe’s Burrton Springs Brides series, it was complete as a standalone novel. I can’t wait to go back and read the other girls’ stories!
