Verse 61 makes it seems likely that the Psalmist has suffered a material loss, but not the loss of his joy. The Psalmist accepted joyfully the ruin of his goods. This outlook calls for a large amount of grace. It is not everyone that could shout a loud Hallelujah over such a loss. What was it that allowed the Psalmist to be thankful in such loss?
