This special episode of Essential Work is hosted by Farisa Thompson and Suvetha Subramanium, field placement students from the X University School of Social Work. As part of their field placement with the Unifor Chair in Social Justice and Democracy, they researched the experiences of frontline workers during the pandemic. For this episode, they interviewed Pam Frache, an organizer with the Worker’s Action Centre, about inequality in the vaccine rollout and the need for paid sick days.
