Sermon Notes
Jesus' followers should always pray and not give up. Luke 18:1
Talking, listening and spending time with God is the most important thing you can do each day.
If I struggle to find time to spend with God, I don't have a scheduling difficulty, I have a relationship problem.
Define Prayer: Spending time focusing on God. This may involve talking, listening, or just sitting quietly in His presence. A time where I am enjoying God.
God is not like the judge. He is good, kind & caring.
We are not like the widow. We have a helper.
When to pray: morning, noon, night, read Bible Devotion
Why Pray: Makes God Happy, Allows Him to speak to me, Permits Him to demonstrate His Love; The means to know God better.
Prayer Shows: He is very important to us, That we need Him, That we want His will to be done, That I am looking forward to seeing Him in person.
Results of prayer: I learn how to forgive; I can demonstrate my gratitude; I get good advice on how to live my life and live it well; I get filled (controlled) by the Spirit; I get comforted and strengthened; I find peace and joy.
Protect your relationship with God
No matter how stressful your day, find a sanctuary where you can spend a few minutes of quietness with the Lord.
Jesus will be faithful. He is ready to have this kind of relationship with you. It is up to you!!
