The government of KwaZulu-Natal has vowed to be stepping up efforts to actively address the hijacked building issue. Public Works and Human Settlements MEC Sipho 'KK' Nkosi stated that they have identified a number of buildings that have been taken over by criminal elements, including foreign nationals, in the wake of the terrible fire that occurred in the Johannesburg Central Business District on Thursday.
