These times, they are a changing... Concerns about our culture: Church attendance is now a fringe activity; Regular church attendance is irregular; Online participation is replacing in-person attendance; God has become generic.

From the very beginning, God has made it clear that we are better together! That's why on Pentecost the Church was born, not as an institution, but as a movement - gathered around a mission. Question: Are we as a church just doing ministry and running an institution or are we part of a movement?

Two important things about this movement: 1. The message captured their hearts and minds. Has it captured yours? 2. They yielded themselves to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Have you?

All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity - all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved, Acts 2:42-42, NLT.

They devoted themselves... ...to the Apostles' teaching, together;

Research from the Center for Bible Engagement reveals that regular Bible reading actually causes visual behavioral changes in our life. ...to the fellowship, together; ...to the breaking of bread, together; ...to prayer, together

Two great needs we all have, that when met, will bring great fulfillment: 1. We need to belong; 2. We need to engage.
