The early films in Kate Winslet’s portfolio came with an impressive array of directors, including Peter Jackson (Heavenly Creatures), Ang Lee (Sense and Sensibility), and Kenneth Branagh (Hamlet). But while those projects came with plenty of prestige, they were far from being box office blockbusters.
