Our app is finally here and we’re so excited to release it to the world. With that in mind, there are a few things you need to know about its functionality, so we thought we would help you to troubleshoot a few things as well as answer your must commonly asked questions.

TROUBLESHOOTINGSCANNEROptimal lighting: For the scanner to work effectively, you will need to be in a well-lit room where bright light isn’t shining down on the ingredient label making it hard to read. Reposition yourself so that the ingredient label is well-lit, free from direct light shine or reflections.

Curved ingredient labels: The scanner is good, but it cannot see around corners or strong curves, so if the ingredient label is wide and goes over the curvature of the product (ie. a bottle), then you may need to manually add the additive into the search bar to check it’s rating and get further information.

Additive Further Info: Once you have scanned your label and the app has detected additives, you can click on an additive to read more about it. However, if you want to go back to that same list of additives that have been detected, be sure to click on the additives tab at the top to take you back to the additives detected listing.
