Hi Ian,
I have a question about my GPSMAP 66sr.
How do I change the colour of an imported track? I want to do this because the default purple is difficult to see against roads when wearing sunglasses.
I have tried Selecting a Track in Saved tracks, clicking on Menu and Set color.
However although when I Find Track and see it on the map it is in the new colour, when I click on Go it reverts to Purple.
Any ideas would be appreciated
Best wishes,
Peter Wilkinson
The colour reverts to magenta when you actively navigate the track. This is the colour set by Garmin which can’t be changed.
Compare with Satmap where you can set the colour for routes (Main Menu screen>Settings>option 26 Route Rendering)
I have recently restarted using Basecamp to plot routes for transfer to my GPS. Now when I create the waypoints the software seems to jump backwards so I end up with a series of unintended spikes between my waypoints. What has gone wrong? If I plot a track instead it seems ok! I have updated Basecamp to the current version.
Hope you can help.
Best wishes
Neil Rothwell
Hi Ian,
I am getting to grips with my Satmap Active 20 and planning on Xpedition2, although I am struggling with one aspect and would be grateful for some advice.
Planning a bee line route is fine. Following it on the Satmap is fine. What I can’t seem to do is add some kind of marker to show my planned coffee stops and lunch stops. I don’t know if this is possible but if it is I would really appreciate some pointers on how to do it.
Many thanks,
Andy Piper
