We definitely don’t agree with the critical consensus on Love Hurts. Most people found it to be unfunny and narratively rocky, but at just 1 hour 23 minutes, we found it to be exactly the kind of enjoyable popcorn romp we were sold.

Well, they’ve remade The Crow. I’m not sure who asked for this considering most of the movie-going public has probably never even seen the movie and for many of those who have, it holds a special place in their heart. A place that probably hides a bit of teenage angst and / or trauma. A place that they probably don’t want opened up and mined for dollars. But I guess this is just for the people in the goldilocks zone of the fandom, who don’t identify with the movie enough to be offended by a remake. And this podcast might just be the best test for which group you’re in.

This is it. The missions to Mars gather enough speed for launch just in time for 1994. How? Hang out with us as we chat yard remodeling, favorite streaming platforms, and the popularity of Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza.

The relative youth of the podcast industry can make it tricky for content creators to decide what direction to steer their business in, and depending on the film and TV industry to deliver great content as the basis of that business makes it even more so. Join us on this episode of Empire Business for a conversation with David Chen as we discuss our experiences in podcasting.

Season two of Star Trek: Picard got off to a pretty good start. It turns out though, that it’s still a TV show, meaning it will have its ups and downs. Luckily the ups are higher than the downs this episode as we get a time-travel episode, a true Star Trek staple. Join us for the podcast to hear our full thoughts.

Eugene has been deeply wronged, but somehow ends up apologizing for it and what’s more, it actually works for this overall decent episode of TWD. Maggie gets some one-on-one time to argue politics with Pamela Milton and again, it pretty much works. Of course this is The Walking Dead so there are always things that don’t work so join us on the podcast for our full thoughts.

Get Out is Jordan Peele’s big-screen writing and directorial debut and it works remarkably well. His comedic chops transfer seamlessly to the socially-conscious horror genre. So well in fact, that he actually won an academy award for the screenplay. Join us for the podcast to hear our thoughts on Get Out.

Deep Water is a British documentary about a boat race in the late 1960s so maybe you can understand why I thought this pick from commissioner Aaron might be a little dry. I expected a lot of coxswain this, and bosun that. Thankfully, it turned out to be nothing like I expected. Check out the documentary, then join us for a podcast about isolation and the delicate mechanism of the mind. Come with us on a journey to glimpse the elusive creature known as the “Boba Fett”. Together, we will take to the sands of Tatooine, venturing into its natural habitat to catch a sight more rare than a hope chest full of spice. Be sure to gaze upon it only briefly however, for the Boba Fett is a timid and skittish creature which can be easily startled, retreating back into its hiding hole.

Check out our Wall Street podcast! If you enjoy watching rich and powerful people con the less fortunate out of their cash and initiate young, hungry, impressionable kids into their cult-like business culture, you’ll love this week’s prestige podcast. We probably talk more about the state of the world than the actual movie but it just felt necessary.
