'“A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”' Luke 8:5-8

Notes:

• God is a farmer and an investor
• He will invest into our lives
• Jesus reveals his kingdom in this verse
• God wants to plant and invest in your life
• What kind of soil is God trying to plant in for your life?
• The seed on its own cannot grow. It needs the proper elements to grow and manifest
• The Word of God will do NOTHING for you if it only sits closed

Four kinds of soil:

1. Trampled Soil - Hard and packed down
2. Rock Soil- Shallow and lacks moisture
3. Thorny Soil - stunted and choked from the thorns surrounding it

4. Good Soil - bringing forth a crop a hundredfold

5. Marks of a good farmer = a farmer who knows how to prepare the ground

6. You must remove the things that will choke out what is being planted
7. This does not happen automatically it requires labor
8. Is your heart ready to receive the seeds that God wants to plant?
9. This can only happen if you have ears to hear!
