Dr. Jose Lineros is a clinical assistant professor in the Ryan College of Business' Department of Accounting. Dr. Lineros teaches information systems and auditing and his research interests are in distributed ledger technologies (e.g. blockchain and smart contracts), as well as the study of accounting transfer student efficacy.
Teaching information system for the last 10 years, Dr. Lineros’ previous industry experience was as an IT audit team lead over information systems in data centers and field locations.
He holds a PhD in Higher Education from UNT, a Master's Degree in Telecommunications from the University of Dallas, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and several other certifications.
He is a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), and is also CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) and is a MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist).
