for me the most salient aspects of matryoshka dolls for me are that they each contain a replica of themsleves at lower resolution [until, of course, they don't]

with that in mind i adapted [an admittedly dull] minute's field recording, making six versions, each sped up by about a sixth and rendered as lower and lower resolution mp3s; i then split each down the middle so in some [brute & ovbvious] sense each version contains each version [until it doesn't]

i'm not sure how listenable the result is but i also don't think it's unintriguing in it's own small way
