Justin and Ty discuss the events that led up to the shooting of a protesting crowd at Kent State University in Ohio May 4, 1970. 4 people died, and 9 more were wounded by the National Guard who came to put down a protest that had already burned the ROTC building on campus and was no longer a peaceful protest as people threw rocks because they didn't want to send any more people to die in Southeast Asia for people that they had nothing to do with.  It was a very sad day, but it taught us a lot of lessons and drew some strange parallels with other events from history, like the Boston Massacre, the battle of Lexington and Concord, even Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter have a familiar echo of what happened at Kent State University.  This episode discusses a lot of adult themes including violence. Special thanks to mixkit for the use of their song Out of This World for this episode.
