Ty and Justin discuss the sit-in protests of 1960-61. Starting at Woolworth's lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina February 1960 and spreading across the south, Black and White protesters occupied the paying customer seats at lunch counters and diners demanding that all people be allowed this prime seating regardless of the color of their skin. Could such an effective protest happen today? Do such protests happen today? How can we peacefully lobby for change in a way that won't be ignored, but will actually accomplish the stated goal? Our hosts get off on tangents, talking about current events, racism, sexism, communal bathrooms, etc. But do they do any good with any of this? You decide while we sit on it.
