One of many recordings from well over a decade ago performed on a real piano, improvised around a basic theme with "AI drums" and programmed bass. Sometimes simplicity is the best!

Recorded with vintage microphones.
Pre 2020, I was demoning an untuned 40 year old Hohner D6 resulting in a bit of jam. Worked out some variations on a riff, then overdubbed some ridiculous improvised stuff - mostly nonsense.
Thanks to a certain Mister Guy for playing guitar on this! Good job friend! The ending has a certain party vibe!
A later rendition may have whistles flutes and recorders / Ocarinas.
One late lonely evening, I plugged in got a bit rythmic and smoothed my idea out with some ambient spacious guitars a bit of punchy bass with a wash of light synth work taking advantage of a wide stereo image and use of depth while working on headphones.
Sometimes you need to be in another place to regain focus. Another state of mind and a different perspective.
Some mixing tweaks here and there. To come. But a jam and harmonic layers with a driving groove that came together in a couple of hours.
Shuffling through a dry beat. Artwork is a scribble of mine aged 4/5 not sure. Don’t care.
