This confession, created in South Africa in 1986 to propel the end of apartheid, describes racial discrimination as a sin and calls on the church to witness against such behavior.  It was adopted by the Presbyterian Church USA in 2016.  John William Templeton is a fourth-generation Prsbyterian elder whose family jjoined the denomination before 1780.
