If you have been listening to our previous podcasts you will know that we are very excited about supporting Scottish companies to engage with the SME Instrument, part of Horizon 2020.

By applying to the SME Instrument, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises that are EU-based or established in a country associated to Horizon 2020 can now get phased, progressive and complimentary funding and support through the SME Instrument for innovation projects that will help them grow and expand their activities into other countries – in Europe and beyond.

There is around € 3 billion in funding over the period 2014-2020 for the SME Instrument, and the programme is designed for high-potential SMEs to help them develop groundbreaking innovative ideas for products, services or processes that are ready to face global market competition.

For a quick briefing on the key issues around eligibility, application timing and tips for success , check out our recent podcast , SME Instrument looks for Champions.

But is it truly available to ALL organisations?

Dear listeners, this short dramatised podcast examines what happens when a very unusual Scottish organisation enquiries about the SME Instrument.
