The British brewery SABMiller - formerly South African Breweries - has agreed to a takeover by its Belgian-Brazilian rival Anheuser-Busch InBev. The $109bn deal would create the world's biggest brewer, producing nearly one in every three beers consumed around the world, including brands such as Budweiser, Stella Artois, Foster's, Miller and Grolsch.. The deal has been driven in part by SABMiller's massive presence across Africa, and would give AB InBev access to one of the world's most rapidly expanding markets.
