Midterm consolidated his position as 2nd favourite for this year's Investec Derby with an impressive victory in the Bet 365 Classic trial at Sandown on Friday.

The Sir Michael Stoute trained runner quickened up well on his seasonal reappearance under Ryan Moore when sent off as the 8/11 favourite
