A big Russian Snowdenstorm this week! har har. ;)

I'm starting to feel like maybe we should ease up on the NSA/Snowden stories. But I could tell we had at least one more focused episode in us. We started and ended this week by covering stories outside of the NSA story, which is the begging of our transition back to our more regular format. I'm hoping down the road when we want to look back at this event, these episodes will provide a "set" that document the important bits that landed when the story broke.

It's been a very interesting process for me to focus in like we have. I've got a mini-NSA setup here in the Jupiter Broadcasting HQ where I have a clever little system that lets me collected the major network feeds via XM satellite radio.

I store those on a dedicated computer, that records all day (but not at night). I combine that system with a dragnet of news sites and forums.

In a lot of ways the previous 50 episodes were building the infrastructure to track major stories/events like this. One of the great things about the supporters show is it gives me a spot to put a lot of great clips that I hate to just toss. But unlike the NSA, I don't have petabytes of storage!

That's not totally true, the basic infrastructure I spent three months setting up before we launched the show. It was a personal challenge I charged my self with to complete for I "let my self" launch Unfilter. But like all production processes, it's been rapidly evolving with the show.

We'll be charged with focusing too much on Edward Snowden, and yet at the same time bitching that the media was doing the same thing. To this I will disagree. I stated my case at the end of the supporters show. Too bad only you guys will hear it!
