376 – Is longsuffering good or bad?
You’re probably familiar with the word longsuffering.
It’s in the Bible, at least some translations of the Bible, multiple times. Sometimes it’s translated as patience.
And longsuffering is usually considered a virtue in the Bible. We are supposed to be patient with each other and not over-react when things don’t go the way we want.
But sometimes in the process of trying to be longsuffering, it’s easy to get discouraged because the thing or the person you’re trying to be patient with gives no hint of changing or getting better or even being aware of how you’re being negatively affected.

Biblical longsuffering is not putting up with or ignoring inappropriate attitudes or behavior.
It's becoming more and more conscious of how God has empowered you to think and act.
And most of all, it’s seeing and rejoicing that God is actively involved in your life, and see and trusting He is working in the lives of all His children.
