I have created the Islamic Life Coach School, and this podcast in efforts for you to achieve any and ALL of your goals through high level of self awareness, mind management and emotional intelligence. It is my mission to provide you with the tools that you can use to make your life unrecognizably successful. How do I define success? Success is what you want it to be. These tools can be applied to create success in life, religion, relationships, career etc. YOU define your success and I will teach you the tool to get it.
You can study Islam for years, memorize rulings, and still feel anxious, reactive, or spiritually “stuck.” We’re going after the uncomfortable question behind that experience: what if the problem isn’t a lack of Islamic information, but a lack of embodied change? I break down the difference between fiqh as a necessary map and the lived journey of becoming the kind of person who can consistently walk that map with a steady heart.
We talk about why behavior rarely shifts just because we know something is haram or wajib, and how fear, shame, resentment, and insecurity can overpower our best intentions. I share the story of Al Razi and the old woman to highlight the gap between intellectual certainty and existential certainty, and why “simple faith” often looks like calm, resilience, and trust that has settled into the nervous system.
Then we get practical. I introduce my C-NEAR formula (Circumstance, Nervous System Thoughts, Emotions, Actions, Results) to show how interpretation shapes emotional experience, habits, and outcomes. Two Muslim women can know the same verses and still live completely different internal realities, depending on the meanings their minds add. If you’ve struggled with perfectionism, people pleasing, or turning worship into performance, this will help you see the hidden commentary you can finally challenge.
If this helps you, subscribe, share the episode with a friend, and leave a quick review so more people can close the gap between knowing and becoming.

Ambition has a reputation for making people restless, intense, and never satisfied, but that version of ambition is only one story. We talk about the difference between chasing achievements to fill an emotional void and pursuing growth from a grounded place of gratitude. When “enoughness” is the real target, every milestone wears off fast. When values are the target, you can feel fulfilled right now and still build a bigger life with purpose.
We also dig into what it means to be multipassionate without becoming addicted to novelty. If you love learning across fields, your interests can compound into deeper impact rather than distract you. The trap is letting excitement decide your commitments. The moment progress slows and the work turns repetitive, a shiny new goal starts calling your name. We share a simple way to tell the difference between a genuine shift in priorities and an escape from the discomfort of sustained effort, plus why finishing what you start is a cornerstone of mastery.
Finally, we reframe “productive” ambition by focusing on emotional fuel. Instead of using stress, self-punishment, and burnout as the engine, we walk through healthier fuels you can generate before any results show up: enthusiasm, inspiration, vitality, courage, audacity, exploration, joy, certainty, gratitude, and generosity. The goal is to stay wildly ambitious while becoming emotionally healthier, so discipline and peace can coexist.
If this resonated, subscribe for more tools, share this with a friend who feels stuck in the start-and-stop cycle, and leave a review so more listeners can find the show. What emotional fuel do you want to lead with this week?

Shadow work has a reputation for being heavy, dark, and painfully complicated. We take a different angle: what if shadow work is simply learning to spot the hidden meanings your nervous system assigns to everyday life and updating that “old code” with truth? When we understand the shadow self through a practical lens, we stop fearing what we might find and start using self-awareness as a real tool for healing, confidence, and better relationships.
We walk through what shadow work actually is, why it often starts out hard, and why it gets easier when your body learns safety. Instead of relying only on insight, we talk about somatic signals like tightness, shallow breathing, and tension as clues that an old insecurity just entered the room. This is nervous system work in plain language: the body stores pain, but it also stores safety, and with repetition it can alert you before you spiral into projection, catastrophizing, or self-protection.
If you care about mental health, trauma healing, emotional regulation, and practical self-development grounded in faith and integrity, this conversation will give you a clearer map. You can be quiet, private, and easily drained by crowds and still become a popular trustworthy woman. We’re unpacking the myth that “she must be an extrovert” is the reason some women seem surrounded by supportive friendships, respected professional connections, and opportunities. I challenge the story many smart, capable women tell themselves, “I’m an introvert, so I’m not good with people.” That story feels accurate, but it quietly turns a skill into a life sentence.
We take a values-based approach to networking and relationship building, with a firm line between sincere connection and anything transactional. Think of social capital as trust, goodwill, and follow-through, not collecting contacts. We talk about relational equity the same way you’d talk about investing: small deposits made consistently can compound into a powerful, stable network over time. Checking in, celebrating someone’s win, remembering what matters to them, making thoughtful introductions, and keeping promises are not “small” when they’re repeated.
Then we get highly practical: introverts need a system, although they think they need to rely on pressure to create their social support. I share how a simple relational operating system reduces decision fatigue so you stop overthinking what to say, when to reach out, or whether it’s awkward. You’ll leave with ideas for a weekly plan, quick prompts to guide your outreach, and a reframed sense of legacy rooted in faith and character.
If you found this helpful, subscribe, share it with a friend who calls herself “bad at networking,” and leave a review so more listeners can find the show. What’s one small relationship deposit you’ll make this week?

Your mind can sound deeply religious while quietly talking you out of healing. When change requires effort, the nafs doesn’t usually say “I’m scared.” It says “be careful,” then borrows sacred words like sabr, qadr, tawakkul, and gratitude to make stagnation feel like righteousness, even as your anxiety, reactivity, and relationship stress stay the same.
We walk through the hidden “religious skepticism” that shows up when you consider therapy, coaching, nervous system regulation, boundaries, or learning new communication skills. I break down the difference between prophetic sabr and self abandonment, between trusting qadr and opting out of your life, and between sincere dua and spiritual procrastination. We also name a common trap: mistaking unfamiliar language for something un-Islamic without actually checking evidence, scholarship, or outcomes.
You’ll leave with a simple filter to test that inner voice: does it move you toward emotional stability, mercy, and excellence, or does it keep you stuck in fight, flight, freeze, and years of the same pain? If you’ve ever “haram policed” yourself out of growth, this will help you hear what’s really happening.

Your nervous system doesn’t just fear danger, it fears unfamiliarity. When a new coaching tool or emotional healing practice shows up, it can trigger instant doubt: “This won’t work,” “I’m not buying it,” “Show me the evidence.” We get honest about what’s really happening in those moments and why skepticism can be a healthy stage of healing until it turns into a lifelong hiding place.
We talk through how the primal brain conserves energy by keeping you on the same painful mental path, and how it will happily recruit your intelligence to do it. You can spend months analyzing frameworks, comparing therapy modalities, and debating neuroscience, then never practice the one thing that changes a life: observing your thoughts and regulating your nervous system during real conflict. If you’ve ever felt “educated about healing” but not any healthier, this will land.
Then we go deeper into identity and fear. Healing can threaten the stories that have become familiar: being the strong one, the misunderstood one, the one who suffers patiently. Hope can feel dangerous because disappointment hurts, and simplicity can feel offensive because the ego equates complexity with truth. We also name selective skepticism: grilling coaching with a microscope while accepting anxious thoughts with zero evidence. The closing invitation is simple and piercing: before you reject the next possibility, ask who inside you desperately needs it not to work.
If this resonates, listen all the way through, share it with a friend who lives in overthinking, and subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next. After you listen, leave a review and tell us: what would you try if you stopped debating and started practicing?

Your body can hurt in a way that is completely real while your tests still come back normal, and that gap is where so many women get dismissed and mislabeled and start doubting themselves. We talk about chronic pain, chronic illness, and psychosomatic symptoms without the insult that often comes with those words, and we name the real enemy: the belief that mind-body factors make suffering “not real.”
I break down how nervous system dysregulation keeps you trapped in survival mode, with high cortisol and adrenaline shaping sleep, inflammation, gut function, headaches, fatigue, and flare ups. We connect the dots to familiar diagnoses and symptoms like migraines, fibromyalgia, IBS, POTS, and chronic back pain, and we make a key distinction: this isn’t about imagining symptoms or thinking your way out of disease. It’s about subconscious threat detection, meaning making, and the patterns of fight, flight, freeze, and fawn that once protected you but now keep your physiology on edge.
We also get honest about why the medical system often doesn’t address this, from training gaps to time and insurance constraints, and we touch the research landscape, including the ACE study and the need for stronger trials on trauma treatment and physical health outcomes. If you’re ready for responsibility without blame and practical reframes that teach your body “the danger is over,” hit play. If you’ve ever said “I just want a safe space” and meant “I’m tired of walking on eggshells,” this conversation will land. I’m talking about the kind of emotional safety that lets you breathe, speak, and exist without shrinking yourself and also the hidden trap of making your peace dependent on other people’s approval.
We start by naming the real need: safety is a basic human requirement, and for many Muslim women it’s been tangled with family expectations, marriage dynamics, community judgment, and spiritual language that can sometimes be used to silence pain. I share an Islamic framework for protection that isn’t one sided control but mutual allyship, and then we pivot into the part most of us miss: if you’re waiting for people to stop judging you before you feel safe, you’ll be waiting a long time. The work is learning how to create internal safety through your mind, your relationship with yourself, your relationship with Allah, and nervous system regulation without normalizing harm.
The turning point is understanding discernment versus judgment. Discernment is calm and clear; it helps you recognize patterns that violate your dignity and take action. Judgment is charged and draining; it keeps your focus glued to what others “should” do and recreates an unsafe environment inside you, even if you change rooms, friends, or communities. We also cover the hard nuance: how internal responsibility can sound like blame if you’ve lived with chronic invalidation, and how to hold your reality while refusing to make other people’s opinions your identity.
You’ll leave with practical embodied prompts for walking into tense spaces, plus a faith anchored way to center tawakkul so your dignity isn’t up for debate. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a safer inner world, and leave a review with one boundary you’re ready to practice this week.

A single thought you almost dismiss can be the doorway to a completely different future. We return with part two on “Qadr Reveal” and challenge the passive way many of us relate to Qadr, as if life is simply happening to us while we wait. Instead, we explore how Allah has made an ocean of possibilities available, and how your lived reality is shaped by the thoughts you repeatedly select, feel, act on, and turn into outcomes.
We talk about why your environment matters so much: fear, limitation, and cynicism shrink what your mind can even perceive, while expansion through reflection, coaching, worship, and higher-level conversations widens your field of options. We also dig into the uncomfortable truth that growth can feel dangerous at first. When a Qadr Reveal arrives, your nervous system may label it unrealistic or selfish because it threatens an old identity. The work is not forcing certainty. The work is learning to hold the seed of a new idea long enough for it to take shape.
You will also hear practical examples, including money beliefs, halal investing, entrepreneurship, and a surprisingly deep vacation-planning scenario that shows how asking “how” too early can shut down the very insight you were given. If you want Islamic personal development tools, mindset coaching rooted in faith, and a clearer way to think about nervous system regulation and conscious choice, this conversation will give you a grounded next step. Your future feels fixed until a single new possibility breaks through. We call that moment a “Qadr Reveal,” and it changes everything by expanding what your mind can perceive and choose. When Qadr is understood as known in the past and present yet unknown in the future, that “unknown” becomes a powerful advantage: it’s the space where you can select a thought from countless possibilities, let it shape your emotions and actions, and watch new results unfold in real life.
We walk through what a Qadr Reveal actually is (and what it is not). It’s the first time a previously inaccessible solution becomes mentally available, often arriving as “what if” or “maybe.” From there, it can mature into consideration, belief, and embodiment. You’ll hear concrete examples, including a physician who challenges the belief that meaningful work must equal burnout, a parenting shift for a Muslim mother raising an autistic child that prioritizes nervous system regulation, and a business breakthrough that reframes success as a learnable skill.
We also draw an essential Islamic line: a Qadr Reveal is not wahi. Prophetic revelation is protected, authoritative, and ended with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). What we experience as ordinary people may resemble insight or inspiration, but it is not infallible truth. That’s why we emphasize discernment, emotional regulation, ethics, and reality testing so you don’t confuse ego, impulse, or intensity with guidance. If you’re ready to widen your options without losing your grounding, press play, then subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more listeners can find this work.

“Will they choose me?” sounds like a simple worry, but it can become the quiet engine behind your entire life. I unpack pick me energy as more than attention seeking: it’s what happens when your nervous system starts outsourcing authority, and your decisions get filtered through approval, acceptance, and the fear of being seen the “wrong” way. The result can look impressive on the outside and feel draining on the inside, especially for Muslim women who are trying to be excellent, helpful, and faithful while still feeling disconnected from their own truth.
We explore how pick me energy creates an invisible contract: I give more, I overfunction, I prove myself, and in return I should be chosen. Then I draw a crucial distinction that changes everything: explaining your value is not the same as performing for validation. Sometimes you do need to communicate your value at work, in business, in relationships, and in community because people are limited perceivers. The difference is your motive. Are you negotiating for worth, or are you simply making reality clear with confidence and humility?
The antidote is detachment, or nonattachment to the outcome. That doesn’t mean passivity. It means your mental health is not tied to someone else’s response. We walk through practical examples from promotions to dating to marriage, and we end with a powerful reframe: stop chasing visibility and start increasing coherence. Coherence makes your boundaries calmer, your words more meaningful, and your presence more trustworthy. You can be wildly capable and still feel “not qualified” if you keep calling your strongest skills normal. We take a hard look at the invisible intelligence you’ve been building for years, the kind that does not show up on a certificate but absolutely shows up in results. Think of transferable skills as portable power: a compounding toolkit you carry from job to job, season to season, and even into your marriage, parenting, and faith. When you learn to name that toolkit clearly, you stop hiding your value and start attracting the opportunities that match it.
We walk through the skills employers quietly pay for: communication that lands with precision, emotional intelligence that reads the room without losing yourself, and time management that is really priority management and energy management. From organization that clears mental clutter to problem solving that avoids drama, we connect each competency to practical workplace outcomes like trust, stability, and execution under pressure. We also talk leadership as nervous system regulation, collaboration without self-erasure, and conflict resolution that transforms tension into solution.
As job titles change and AI reshapes industries, these “soft skills” become the real currency skills that keep you promotable across fields. The turning point is language: stop saying “I’m just helping” when you are coordinating complex systems and doing executive-level functioning daily. Listen, share this with someone who undersells herself, and subscribe and leave a review so more people learn to recognize and claim the value they already carry.

Perfectionism loves to call itself “high standards,” but your body knows the difference. Feeling drained, contantly overthinking and still not producing are some of the telltale signs of perfectionism.
I’m breaking down how perfectionism keeps Muslim women stuck even when we have big goals, strong values, and a real desire to put high quality work into the world.
We walk through clear, practical contrasts you can use immediately: high standards move while perfectionism stalls, quantity builds quality, and “ready” is not a real finish line. I talk about why perfectionism is obsessed with control and certainty, why it burns energy and triggers rumination loops, and how it turns work into a constant search for validation. Then we talk about the shifts you need to make.
We also tackle how perfectionism destroys prioritisation by demanding mastery of everything, while high standards stay selective and intentional so your excellence is sustainable.

“Strive harder” can sound holy, but for many Muslim women it lands like a weight on an already overloaded nervous system. I’m unpacking what striving for the sake of Allah really means, starting from a clearer definition: intentional, disciplined effort to align your heart and behavior with divine guidance, not simply doing more visible acts. When we ignore emotional bandwidth and biological limits, devotion can quietly morph into chronic pressure, hidden burnout, and a constant sense of spiritual failure.
We talk about the invisible emotional labor that keeps families and workplaces functioning: regulating children’s emotions, anticipating a spouse’s moods, preventing conflict, managing the mental load of logistics, remembering everyone’s needs, and acting like emotional climate control. Modern productivity culture rarely counts that as “real work,” so it’s easy to assume it doesn’t count spiritually either. I challenge that assumption and invite you to start counting your unseen labor as part of your striving when it’s done for Allah with sincerity.
We also name the damage of spiritual comparison and internalized ableism: judging yourself against people with different support systems, different responsibilities, and different starting lines. Striving is contextual. It can look like extended worship for one person and like patience, service, healing, or protecting solitude for another. The question I want you to carry forward is simple: is the way you’re striving bringing you closer to Allah or closer to burnout?
If this reframing brings relief, share it with a friend who needs it, subscribe for more tools, and leave a review so more women can find this message.

In this episode, I share what changes when we decenter men and re-center Allah is real psychological and spiritual reordering that brings back dignity and peace in your life
We explore why organizing your self-worth around male reactions are a form of shirk, and how tawakkul in Allah restores a single, steady inner axis. From there, the conversation gets concrete: how service stops being transactional, why appreciation can be welcomed but not required, and how relationships improve when you remove the pressure of validation. I also break down what decentering looks like in career decisions, marriage dynamics and what this looks like for single and divorced women.
We talk about the patterns that keep men at the center: auditioning for approval in courtship, romanticizing inconsistency, replaying the past through resentment, or centering men through fear. You’ll learn simple ways to measure progress through the decision test, attention test, and emotional stability test, plus how boundaries become calmer when your identity is coherent. If this helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs steadiness, and leave a review. What’s one area of your life where you want Allah back at the center?

Your mind was not meant to orbit another human being, yet so many of us live like our peace depends on a man’s approval, attention, or mood. We get stuck in longing, anxiety, resentment, and constant analysis and we call it “closeness,” even when it’s actually psychological dependency. Here, we move from diagnosing male centrism to treating it, with a clear map for rebuilding emotional stability and spiritual clarity without turning this work into rebellion against men.
We walk through a three-stage model: noticing the male-centered identity, stabilizing a healthy sense of self, and then returning to Allah as the true center. I explain why “centering yourself” can sound selfish but is often the missing step for Muslim women who were trained to shrink, accommodate, and erase their needs. A healthy ego means you can name your preferences, hold your limits, and make decisions from values instead of fear. That internal coherence changes everything: less rumination, less overfunctioning, and more calm, grounded boundaries.
We also talk about spirituality and why a fragmented self often relates to Allah through shame and fear, especially when faith has been filtered through male authority. I unpack the Jalali attributes of Allah’s power alongside the Jamali attributes of mercy, love, gentleness, and generosity and show how an imbalance can suffocate a feminine psyche already struggling to take up space. The paradox is real: when men stop being responsible for your emotional regulation, relationships often become lighter, more peaceful, and more loving.
If you’ve ever confused a man’s disappointment with Allah’s disappointment, this will land. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs steadiness, and leave a review with your biggest takeaway.

If a man’s mood can flip your whole day, that’s not love or loyalty, that’s your nervous system getting outsourced. We go deep on “decentering men” as a practical mindset shift that helps Muslim women reclaim self-worth, emotional stability, and spiritual clarity without hating men or pushing them away. I explain why orbiting a husband, father, colleague, or even an ex can feel like intimacy while quietly creating anxious, performative connection and constant self-editing.
We break down the core idea of centering as the reference point your mind returns to, then map how male centrism forms through lifelong socialization and patriarchal messaging. From there, we explore a painful but common pattern: what looks like a faith crisis can actually be a fracture of trust in men who were placed at the center of your spiritual imagination. When a man’s leadership becomes confused with divine guidance, his hypocrisy can shake your structure. Decentering restores a direct relationship with Allah, separating Creator from creation so your iman is no longer mediated by someone else’s ego or behavior.
We also name the hidden drain: cognitive bandwidth. Tracking his reactions, replaying arguments, and “inverted fixation” through resentment keep you tethered even when you say you’re done. The goal isn’t removing men from your life. It’s removing them from the throne of your subconscious so you can love with sincerity and relate with calm strength. Your dopamine isn’t the enemy, but it might be running your life. When we live on constant stimulation, our phones, processed food, binge watching, shopping hauls, and even the rush of attention can start to feel like necessities instead of choices. I break down how artificial pleasure is engineered to hijack your dopamine reward system, why it creates a numbing effect, and how the crash that follows exposes the emotions we have been trying not to feel.
When you intentionally reduce indulgence and distractions, you don’t just notice hunger or restlessness, you hear your inner dialogue clearly. That “dopamine withdrawal” becomes useful data. It shows where your nervous system is dysregulated and what feelings you have been outsourcing to quick hits of relief. The goal is not to live joyless or to shame yourself for cravings. The goal is to reclaim your pleasure and rewire your brain toward what actually builds you up.

Your relationship patterns might not be a “chemistry” problem or a communication problem. They might be a nervous system problem. We talk about your consciousness set point, what I measure as SQ (soulful intelligence), and how the baseline state you live from quietly determines your perception, your choices, and the dynamics you keep recreating in love, marriage, family, and close friendships.
We unpack how trauma can begin as an intelligent survival response and then turn chronic, lowering your set point until you interpret life through threat. From that wavelength, relationships tend to organize around reactivity, defensiveness, control, avoidance, emotional dependency, and enmeshment. I explain why many “toxic relationships” are sustained by shared operating levels, not just behaviors, and why simply leaving a painful situation without healing your internal operating system can lead you straight into the same dynamic with a different face.
We also name a subtle spiritual trap: when low SQ makes pain feel virtuous and self-abandonment feel like patience. I challenge the rescuer narrative and the idea that you’re responsible for another adult’s healing, then lay out what higher SQ looks like in practice: boundaries with compassion, space between trigger and response, steadiness near dysfunction, and decisions made from self-worth instead of fear. If you want nervous system regulation, trauma-informed relationship healing, and a Ramadan mindset shift that actually changes your life, press play, subscribe, and share this with someone who needs steadier love. What if your strongest reactions weren’t flaws but the echoes of an intelligent system that once kept you safe? We dive into the consciousness set point—your SQ—and trace how fight, flight, freeze, and fawn begin as wise survival and later solidify into identity when left unexamined. From there, everyday life narrows: neutral moments feel loaded, money and work spiral into scarcity or shutdown, and faith swings between intensity and burnout. The shift begins when we separate state from story and reclaim authorship inside emotion.
Across this conversation, we show how worship functions as regulation. Salah, fasting, and dhikr become training that refines perception, widens the gap between stimulus and response, and helps you assign meaning deliberately rather than reflexively. Ramadan offers a daily lab: fast not only from food but from impulsive interpretations and victim narratives. Ask better questions—Is it still needed? Is it proportionate?—and watch your inner arena expand. That’s taskiyah made practical: small, consistent inputs that raise SQ and restore clarity, humility, and steadiness.
We also unpack how unhealed trauma shapes adult patterns: domination as a mask for fight, avoidance for flight, shutdown for freeze, and people pleasing for fawn. Underneath, a wounded sense of worth keeps yesterday’s alarms running today’s life. Responsibility isn’t about blame; it’s the choice to update the operating system. There is no neutral cruise control for the nafs—without active stewardship, it drifts downward. Healing honors what protected you then while refusing to let it define you now, so you can give from wholeness and lead with discernment.

In this episode we explore why sincere rituals sometimes fail to soothe and how a chronically braced nervous system can mute the mercy that’s already near. By reframing your “consciousness set point” (SQ) as a body-level baseline, you’ll see how survival mode can hijack prayer, fasting, and dhikr, turning them into tasks to endure rather than moments that heal.
We dig into the lived signs of low SQ: thoughts that feel factual and urgent, pressure inside worship, and a reflex to seek or anticipate hardship. Then we map a path out: transforming ibadah into regulation so the body learns that the present is not the past. Instead of piling on more action to close the gap with Allah, we anchor the obligations while shifting how we enter them—slower breath, safer posture, gentler attention—so devotion lands in the nervous system. The result is worship that widens perspective, creates space between trigger and reaction, and softens self-judgment.
You’ll learn a practical three-layer model drawn from Islam, Iman, and Ihsan.
If you’ve ever wondered why your best efforts still feel tense or why ease seems hard to find, this conversation offers a compassionate lens and concrete next steps. Listen, reflect, and try one small regulation cue before your next prayer—then tell us what changes. If this resonates, subscribe, share with a friend who could use calm inside worship, and leave a review to help others find the show.

We introduce the consciousness set point and our SQ (soulful intelligence) model: a clear way to see how you interpret events, hold difficulty, and choose meaning.
Ramadan is the perfect opportunity to gain insight on this topic because below 50 on the SQ scale, survival coding rules: thoughts feel like facts, narratives go global, and other people’s emotions fuse with your own. As your SQ rises past 50, the same reality begins to feel expansive. You notice more, you react less, you create a gap between trigger and response, and worship grows more deliberate and present.
Every interpretation either preserves inner pressure or leaks it. Through somatic grounding, disciplined meaning-making, and presence in worship, you can steadily raise your set point and keep it there.
This is a call to choose the pain of growth over the pain of stagnation, to hold hardship without letting it define you, and to live closer to Ihsan with each fast and each prayer.

Meltdowns aren’t moral failures or defiance; they’re signals from a nervous system pushed past its limit. We dive into a compassionate, science-backed way to guide neurodivergent children that swaps power struggles for steady growth, blending the zones of regulation with Islamic principles of mercy, stewardship, and calm authority. If you’ve ever wondered why logic and lectures fall flat during a tantrum—and what to do instead—this is your roadmap.
We start by clarifying neurodivergence and autism in plain language and explore why behavior-only approaches often miss the root. Then we map the green (safe), yellow (window of tolerance), and red (survival) zones so you can spot when a child’s thinking brain has gone offline. You’ll learn how fight, flight, freeze, and fawn show up at home, why co-regulation is powerful and contagious, and how your state as a parent can either escalate or settle a storm.
From there, we get practical. We break down sensory profiles across seven senses—sight, sound, touch, smell, taste, movement, and interoception—so you can anticipate triggers and support regulation without shame. We show how demands can feel like threats to autonomy and how structured choices, visual timers, and gentle scripts restore agency while keeping firm, loving boundaries. We also tackle dopamine’s pull—sugar and screens—offering realistic ways to build delayed gratification and reduce addictions that feed dysregulation.
Throughout, we ground the work in faith: our role isn’t to erase hardship but to shepherd children through it with patience, presence, and wisdom. You’ll leave with body-based tools that work when words don’t, guidance on what not to do (teaching in the red zone, shaming, or entering power contests), and a simple standard to hold: regulate yourself first, then lead. If this resonates, subscribe, share with a friend who needs it, and leave a review so more families can find calm and clarity.

In this episode, we explore how to turn that first hot surge into ethical force—one that protects what matters, sets clean boundaries, and moves outcomes without noise or regret. Instead of suppressing or exploding, we practice containment: listening to the body, naming the signal, and choosing a response that aligns with values and long-term goals.
We break down the split-second battle between the survival brain and the prefrontal cortex, and why those tiny milliseconds of delay are everything. That pause is where agency lives—where you stop acting from anger and start acting on it. You’ll learn how to convert urgency into strategy, and how to match your expression to the moment, no more and no less. Sometimes that looks quiet and deliberate; other times it’s firm, unapologetic, and even dominating. The point is not angerlessness; it’s accuracy.
We also dig into the role of morality as a container. Instead of tying virtue to being agreeable or “calm,” we use structure to mold anger into something useful. That shift delivers authority without drama, protects dignity in hard conversations, and keeps you from training others to provoke you. For women taught to soften or over-explain, refined anger becomes especially powerful: it stops compliance with harmful norms and replaces performance with coherence and clear boundaries. Respect and adab can coexist with precision and strength; you don’t have to choose between them.
By the end, you’ll have a practical lens for channeling emotion into choice—preserving authorship over what you say and do, even when the intensity is high. If this resonates, share it with someone who’s tired of being reactive and ready to be precise. Subscribe, leave a review, and tell us: where will you apply refined anger this week?

In this episode, we flip that script by drawing a clear line between emotional intensity and nervous system dysregulation...and we show how to keep choice, language, and discernment online even when emotions are high.
We dig into how meaning-making...not the size of a feeling, determines whether your prefrontal cortex stays online. You’ll learn practical somatic tools for integrating strong states without suppressing them: breath pacing, grounding, orienting, and gentle movement that help the body complete what the mind understands.
We contrast self-leadership with survival responses like shutdown or overaccommodation, and we confront cultural biases that mislabel women’s emotional range as instability.
In Islam accountability rests on intention and action, not the mere presence of emotion.
Capacity of emotions is learnable skill

Ever wished a boundary could feel calm in your body instead of like a fight waiting to happen? We dive into a simple, powerful approach to setting limits that protect your nervous system, honor your values, and still leave room for warmth in the relationships that matter most. Instead of using boundaries as tools to change people, we reframe them as clear if-then commitments you control for yourself.
We unpack why control backfires and how judgment turns boundaries into a stress loop of rumination and resentment.
Regulate yourself by accepting reality without moral blame so you can follow through cleanly. You’ll learn the relationship bank account metaphor and a practical five to one ratio rule: for every firm boundary that may be perceived as a withdrawal, make five unconditional deposits—warmth, presence, respect, quality time—that signal continued care without undoing your boundary.
We also explore common pitfalls...over-explaining, bribing for approval, adjusting deposits to manage someone else’s emotions and offer language and mindset shifts to keep your boundaries sustainable.
For Muslim women, especially within family systems shaped by control, this framework restores dignity and autonomy while keeping the door open to connection. When you build from regulation, you stop arguing in your head and start trusting your follow-through.

The biggest conflicts in our lives often come from an error in identification: we mistake teammates for opponents and burn energy proving we’re right while moving away from what matters.
We unpack the Same Team Principle which is a clear, practical framework for seeing marriages, workplaces, schools, healthcare, and communities as interdependent systems built around shared outcomes. Notice when your brain flips into “me versus you,” then re-center on the outcome and choose a regulated, intentional response.
When you choose outcome over ego, you gain clarity, conserve energy, and invite collective intelligence to outperform any solo effort. We close with a three-part summary you can apply anywhere: confirm the shared outcome, allow multiple routes, and regulate your nervous system when difference feels like danger.

In this episode, we explore how emotional integration completes the stress cycle in both mind and body so your nervous system can finally stand down.
We walk through a practical five-step integration cycle: identification and labeling, acceptance and allowance, investigation through embodied curiosity, expression for healthy discharge, and action that marks completion. Along the way, we use clear examples to bring the process to life.
This conversation reframes emotions as messages to be delivered. You’ll learn to sense when an emotion has finished, when thoughts stop looping, your body eases, and urgency drops—and why coherence is about order and timing, not constant positivity.

Today, we open up the science and the practice of coherence, the state where your heart, brain, and nervous system move in rhythm so you stop leaking energy and start acting with clear conviction.
Using heart rate variability as the guide, we break down how smooth, predictable timing emerges when emotions complete their cycle and why rumination or suppression keeps your physiology on alert long after the moment has passed.
Together, we demystify HRV and show how to read it without shame or perfectionism. You’ll learn the difference between sympathetic activation and parasympathetic recovery, why coherence is not about being calm or happy all the time, and how appreciation, gratitude, and deliberate breathing can reorganize your internal signals.
We get practical about interrupting thought loops, letting sensations rise and fall, and returning the system to order so your prefrontal cortex can do what it does best: nuanced thinking, empathy, and wise decisions.
For Muslim women navigating layered responsibilities, this approach protects against chronic overfunctioning, lowers inflammation and cardiovascular load, and supports devotion and service without self-betrayal. If you’re ready to trade constant vigilance for flexible resilience, this conversation gives you the language, the tools, and the faith-aligned mindset shift to make it real.

The nervous system clings to familiar stories, even when they hurt. This is why healing requires an unlearning.
We talk through the hidden beliefs many women inherit from survival...rest is irresponsible, pleasure is dangerous, and why these “truths” are really adaptations to hostile environments. We dive into the messy middle where healing feels like loss, because identity was built around endurance. Healing the nervous system is recalibrating from vigilance to regulation.
If you’ve confused suffering with proof of goodness, this conversation invites a kinder frame: healing is not rejection of culture, family, or faith; it’s alignment with what is true and life-giving. Expect some chaos before calm. Expect questions like who am I without pain as proof? Then expect space, real space, for devotion, choice, and steady joy. Devotion is the engine that powers your life.
We take a clear-eyed look at devotion as both an inner state and a behavior, an intentional choice that activates purpose, steadies the nervous system, and fuels consistent action.
By separating devotion from obligation, we expose the quiet harm of narratives that call loyalty weakness and effort suffering, especially for Muslim women who carry the emotional labor of family, faith, and community.
You’ll hear why devotion functions like a high-value currency and how to protect it with boundaries that honor your time, energy, and sincerity. Rather than feeding overgiving or enmeshment, healthy devotion creates interdependence, connection with clear edges...so your care lifts others without erasing you.

In this episode I talk about how a survival-focused brain hands us fast, familiar thoughts that harden into identity, and how a few seconds of awareness can change the narrator of your life.
We dig into the mechanics of default thinking, why the mind prefers shortcuts, and how filtering turns first impressions into fixed labels. Then we model practical reframes across marriage, money, career, parenting, faith, and friendships, replacing sweeping labels with precise, empowering truths.
From an Islamic lens, we explore nafs, spiritual intention, and the pursuit of Truth, connecting mind management with devotion, balance, and integrity. Expect clear steps you can practice today: pause, notice the first thought, question it, and select the identity you want to strengthen. Neuroplasticity does the rest, rewiring attention and behavior until your inner life, relationships, and work reflect a grounded, self-led you.

What if the real problem isn’t your to-do list, but the culture around it? We dive into a practical, four-step framework that shifts you from exhausted micromanager to calm, capable leader....at home, with friends, at work, and in your marriage.
The move is simple and repeatable: identify the problem, get buy-in, allow mistakes, and repeat with steady leadership.
You’ll hear how to stop dramatizing missed chores, late plans, and clunky meetings, and start treating them as data. We walk through the home-chore bottleneck, showing why “they keep forgetting” often hides a skill gap you can teach with patience. In friendships, we co-create structures. At work, we trade reminders for root-cause questions: Is the time wrong? Is the agenda unclear? Does the team understand why the meeting matters?
We also bring this mindset into marriage, where many of us live in nonstop manager mode. Instead of tracking every task and nagging for compliance, we build culture together: shared expectations, weekly check-ins, and plans both partners help design.
Most partners don’t resist responsibility; they resist systems imposed without their voice.

We explore a powerful shift from managing chaos to designing calm by adopting a CEO mindset for everyday life. Instead of living in the noise of tasks, we focus on the vision, values, and simple structures that make tomorrow easier than today.
We start by unpacking the difference between manager and CEO energy. A manager reacts and maintains; a CEO designs and prevents. That change in altitude turns endless to-do lists into clear frameworks that actually hold. We translate this into real life: setting a family culture with shared responsibilities, rotating chores that kids can own, and routines that don’t collapse when someone forgets. The goal is not control; it’s clarity and compassion, so the right action becomes the easy actions.
Throughout, we ground the approach in purpose and faith, letting values like patience, accountability, and excellence guide the systems we build. You’ll leave with three starting questions: identify one draining problem, imagine what would prevent it long term, and design the simplest system to make it stick. Press play to begin leading with intention, reducing daily friction, and creating a life that organizes around your calm, clear vision.

Feeling buried under patriarchy, debt, burnout, or a broken marriage market? We unpack why the brain loves dramatic, unsolvable questions and how a simple shift to better, smaller questions gives you leverage today. Instead of spiraling at the scale of the system, we move to the smallest useful unit of change: one thought, one boundary, one action. Along the way, we challenge the default brain’s obsession with efficiency that recycles fear, and we offer a faith-rooted, practical path back to agency.
We explore how financial literacy breaks scarcity loops, how small investments and savings strategies reduce emotional dependence on policy or news cycles, and how fear-based money choices keep us stuck. We examine healthcare’s treatment-over-prevention bias and outline how regulating your nervous system, protecting sleep, and honoring early body signals quietly undermine a sick-care economy. We reframe racism and sexism by asking questions that preserve dignity and safety...what response aligns with who I want to be, what boundary keeps me safe so your day-to-day experience changes even before the system does.
For those navigating marriage fears, we trade generalizations for criteria: clear red flags, green flags, emotional safety markers, and non-negotiables. We connect all of this with a simple engine of change: thoughts shape emotions, emotions drive actions, actions build outcomes. Leaders will recognize the same mechanics at scale: one decision, one team, one metric at a time. The theme stays steady...systems don’t shift because we obsess over them; they shift when we stop participating unknowingly and start acting with skill, clarity, and faith.

I share why you can’t make someone feel your love...and why that’s liberating. When you offer presence and kindness, their body has to feel safe enough to receive it; your job is to love without controlling their response. This is where boundaries get stronger, not softer: limits set without resentment are clearer, kinder, and more effective. We talk about body image, marriage, parenting, and the everyday moments when conditional love sneaks in....and what it takes to shift toward abundance rather than exhaustion.
For high‑functioning Muslim women, this conversation lands close to home. Achievement often masquerades as self‑love. We practice returning to the baseline, “I love myself because I exist,” and reflect on faith: moving from loving Allah only for blessings to loving because we were created capable of love. The mind will try to rationalize even this; we learn to notice, soften, and return to experience over analysis. By the end, you’ll have language, examples, and a repeatable practice to make unconditional love your default, rooted, spacious, and deeply alive.
If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a review telling us one condition you’re ready to drop today.

Ever pour your heart onto the page, feel lighter, and then find yourself stuck in the same loop a week later? We get it and we built this conversation to help you turn journaling from a quick reset into a reliable engine for transformation, clarity, and faith-centered growth.
We start by separating regulation from resolution. Venting can calm the nervous system, and that matters, but lasting change asks for more: noticing the thought-emotion link, testing whether a belief serves your aims, and choosing language that creates movement. You’ll hear a simple litmus test to spot when journaling becomes a pressure valve, plus a practical way to reframe without bypassing your experience. We walk through healthy detachment... caring without being consumed...so you can release ego drama without losing your drive, your goals, or your full emotional range.
Emotions are created by thoughts but live as sensations; if writing stays in the head, you miss vital data. We use somatic awareness to metabolize anger, anxiety, and confusion safely and fully.

Today we unpack the hidden cost of enmeshment and chart a clear path to attunement, we break down how enmeshment shows up in families and partnerships...oversharing, emotional fusion, control, and the chronic belief that your harmony depends on keeping everyone else regulated. Then we contrast that with attunement: staying connected and compassionate without losing your internal reference point. You’ll hear a practical walk‑through of the C‑NEAR method (Circumstance, Nervous system thoughts, Emotions, Actions, Results) to spot when you’ve picked up someone else’s emotions and how to return to steady ground.
We also tackle a common trap: swinging from fusion to isolation. Hyperindividualism may feel powerful, but it’s avoidance in disguise. You can witness another’s pain and remain centered, offering care by choice, not by reflex. With a faith-rooted lens, we affirm empathy as a gift that needs structure. Expect clear language, actionable steps, and a compassionate reframe that helps your relationships breathe.
If this resonates, follow the show, share it with someone who needs lighter emotional labor, and leave a review to help others find these tools. What’s one boundary or micro‑pause you’ll practice this week?

In this episode we explore what changes when you stop assigning fault for a single day and give your nervous system a kinder job....learning instead of litigating.
We look at why blame feels noble, promising justice, control, and safety, yet slowly turns into armor that becomes a prison. You’ll hear how outward accusation often rebounds as inward self-criticism, and why your brain can’t cleanly separate the tone it uses on others from the tone it uses on you. Rather than shaming yourself for blaming, we honor its positive intention: protection, meaning-making, and boundary-setting. Then we keep the wisdom and drop the weight by swapping blame for acceptance, responsibility without shame, compassion, curiosity, grief, discernment, gratitude, and tawakkul.
Try the one-day experiment: suspend blame for traffic, weather, family, colleagues—or yourself—and notice what softens first. If this conversation resonates, follow the show, share it with someone who needs gentleness today, and leave a review to help others find it.

If your mind feels loud and your body feels far away, this conversation offers a way home. We dive into the real meaning of embodied living, bringing attention to inner sensations, honoring subtle emotional signals, and learning when to switch to the outer world so you can heal from stress, make clearer decisions, and deepen your worship.
We start with the simplest anchors: thirst, hunger, tiredness, and the quiet signals of tension and release. You’ll hear why chronic stress makes inner focus feel unsafe and how survival mode dials down your ability to sense low-volume emotions. Using vivid analogies like the floodlight and the flickering candle, we show how to lower the “noise” of fear while training your awareness to notice the whispers beneath it. The result is practical: fewer reactive spirals, less numbing, and more wise pauses that protect your time, your relationships, and your faith.
If this resonates, subscribe, share the episode with a friend who needs gentleness today, and leave a review with the one sensation you noticed most clearly after listening.
What if the mind’s “savings plan” is quietly bankrupting your future? We unpack the false economy of victimhood...the way the primal brain seeks comfort, avoids pain, and conserves energy by recycling old stories and calling them wins. From “I can’t lose weight” to “I’ll never get promoted” to “I was betrayed; I can’t move on,” we trace how these narratives deliver quick relief while costing health, intimacy, confidence, and possibility. With warmth and clarity, we de-shame the pull of familiarity, reveal the counterfeit rewards that feel good now, and show how to choose stories that actually pay dividends over time.
Drawing on coaching experience with women navigating identity, faith, and ambition, we walk through examples across health, love, work, money, and forgiveness. We examine how labels and diagnoses can be both lifelines and traps, and we reframe them as tools for tailored progress rather than ceilings. You’ll hear simple, compassionate practices to loosen stuck patterns: naming the benefits your brain is chasing, counting hidden costs, and designing low-friction actions that your nervous system can accept.
Expect practical reflection prompts, language you can use with yourself today, and a gentle plan to re-allocate mental energy from short-term comfort to long-term freedom.
We dive deep into equanimity as a practical, learnable skill for Muslim women who want to stop snapping, start choosing, and carry calm into chaos without numbing their hearts. Instead of trying to “feel calm first,” we flip the sequence: stabilize your actions while your emotions vary, train your nervous system with small, repeatable choices, and let your inner state catch up to your consistent behavior.
We unpack the difference between recalibrating disproportionate reactions (Path A) and channeling warranted intensity for safety, dignity, or justice (Path B). This is disciplined compassion guided by values and supported by faith.
You’ll learn how thought work reshapes the body’s chemistry, why each pause is a rep that strengthens composure, and how prayer anchors the shift. If you’re ready to replace reactivity with choice and let calm become your default, press play, subscribe, and share this with someone who deserves more peace. Contempt sneaks into our closest relationships disguised as righteousness. We don't think we're feeling superior...we simply believe we're right. What makes this emotion particularly dangerous is that it requires two specific ingredients to flourish: a shared history and a presumption of equality. This explains why we rarely feel contempt for strangers or children, but frequently harbor it toward partners, close family members, and long-term friends.
This emotion keeps your nervous system subtly activated at all times, draining energy that could fuel creativity, intimacy, and joy. And perhaps most devastating is the contempt we direct inward, constantly judging ourselves through impossible standards. Breaking free starts with acknowledgment, creating space between feeling and truth, and choosing self-compassion over judgment. When you treat yourself with respect and fairness, you close one of the easiest doors through which negativity enters your life and relationships.
Ready to transform your relationship with yourself and others? Listen now to discover practical tools for recognizing contempt and replacing it with connection. Your heart and your relationships will thank you.

Comparison is hardwired into our brains...not as a flaw, but as an evolutionary survival strategy. While this instinct once helped our ancestors find belonging and detect threats, today it often manifests as scrolling through Instagram and measuring ourselves against impossible standards.
Recently I found myself questioning the competitive framework that pits people against each other. This moment sparked a deeper exploration of how comparison shapes our lives, often without our awareness.
From early childhood, we're conditioned to compare ourselves to others through educational systems that rank, grade, and percentile us against our peers. This transforms our natural scanning instinct from a tool for belonging into a source of anxiety and inadequacy.
But what if we could redirect comparison inward instead of outward? When we compare ourselves to our own timeline...who we were yesterday and who we're becoming tomorrow. This is how we create a powerful framework for authentic growth. This shift transforms comparison from a source of jealousy and inadequacy into a catalyst for development aligned with our unique values and path.
Whether in fitness challenges, creative pursuits, or spiritual development, the goal isn't to outdo others but to outgrow yesterday's version of yourself. This is the comparison that leads to authentic excellence and true fulfillment. How might your relationship with yourself transform if you redirected your comparison instinct toward your own growth journey?

Reaching my 250th podcast episode feels monumental, and I couldn't think of a more fitting topic to mark this milestone than vulnerability...specifically, how to wield it as the powerful asset it truly is.
Vulnerability... being emotionally transparent can create deeper connections and resolve conflicts more effectively, not all vulnerability leads to healing. The missing piece in most conversations about vulnerability is discernment, knowing when, where, and with whom to share your innermost feelings.
Think of vulnerability as valuable currency. When invested wisely with people who demonstrate emotional maturity, trustworthiness, and consistency, it yields rich dividends of intimacy and understanding. When handed carelessly to those who haven't earned it or lack the capacity to hold it, it becomes costly, eroding the very relationships it should strengthen.
The most transformative approach is becoming your own emotional container first. Before expecting others to hold your feelings with care, learn to sit with your own truths without shame or urgency. This internal safety allows you to share from a place of wholeness rather than seeking validation through exposure.
Proximity does not equal permission. Just because someone is close to you doesn't mean they deserve access to your vulnerable self. Vulnerability also is not the sole measure of closeness in a relationship.
Listen to see how it transforms your relationships when shared selectively with those worthy of this gift.

In this transformative episode, we explore the powerful practice of "future self-training" - showing up as what you want, not what you currently have.
When you make dua with conviction and then live as if it's already unfolding, you're practicing the highest form of trust in Allah's wisdom and timing. The gap between asking and embodying is precisely where many prayers feel unanswered – not because Allah hasn't accepted them, but because we haven't fully received them in our behavior.
Learn practical ways to embody your future self in every area of life: dressing with dignity regardless of your tax bracket, speaking with the authority of someone who knows her worth, and parenting from wisdom rather than reactivity. Discover how to train your nervous system to hold new beliefs safely, creating a bridge between your current identity and the woman you're becoming. When you genuinely embody the version of yourself who already has what you've prayed for, your brain's reticular activating system begins working for you, highlighting resources and opportunities that were previously invisible. The path to your goals stops feeling overwhelming and starts becoming inevitable.
Ready to reclaim your role as an active participant in your prayers? Start living like the woman Allah has already answered your duas to become. Your future self is waiting for you to step into her shoes today.

What if the key to spiritual growth isn't destroying your ego, but reclaiming it? Drawing from Islamic wisdom and modern psychology, this episode explores how microscopic shifts in daily habits can transform your relationship with yourself and others.
We often swing between two extremes...completely erasing ourselves or defensively overcompensating. Neither serves us well. Through practical examples, I share how small acts of self-honoring can initiate profound healing: sitting down to eat when hungry rather than waiting for everyone else, leaving draining group conversations without drama, acknowledging exhaustion instead of pushing through another to-do list, or simply waiting to respond to messages until you're truly ready.
These seemingly minor moments signal to your nervous system that you matter, that your needs are valid. When practiced consistently, they create a foundation for balanced self-expression that feels neither selfish nor self-sacrificing. You'll discover why suppressed desires eventually emerge as irritability or emotional shutdown, how constant overgiving trains others to bypass your boundaries, and why deferring to others' judgments weakens your ability to trust yourself.
Ready to reclaim your healthy ego through practice and guidance? Join me in my coaching programs where we develop these skills through real-life application, helping you recognize yourself again while deepening your spiritual connection.

Ego reclamation might sound contradictory to Islamic spiritual teachings, yet for Muslim women, it represents a critical step toward mental health and authentic faith. This episode challenges conventional wisdom about ego work by introducing a revolutionary concept: ego as a tool that can be picked up when needed and put down when not.
Drawing from Islamic spiritual tradition, we explore the three states of nafs (ego) - the commanding self that urges toward sin, the reproaching self that swings between mistakes and regret, and the tranquil self in a state of peace. What if developing a healthy ego doesn't make you a selfish Muslim woman, but instead anchors you more firmly in your faith?
The dominant spiritual language around ego - crushing it, controlling it, suppressing it - was primarily designed for men's spiritual struggles. For women already socialized to erase themselves, this approach causes harm rather than healing. When a Muslim woman struggles with voicelessness, people-pleasing, or hyper-responsibility, the solution isn't further ego diminishment but thoughtful reclamation. This episode distinguishes between true humility and ongoing humiliation, clarifying that submission in Islam means erasing yourself before Allah alone - not before other people.
Discover how to discern when to strengthen your ego (setting boundaries, speaking up) versus when to dissolve it (in prayer, deep connection). A woman grounded in her values through a healthy ego becomes difficult to mistreat - not because she's confrontational, but because she's anchored in a dignity that recognizes manipulation and shame for what they are. Join us as we explore this path to mental health that honors both your personhood and your faith commitment.

Breaking free from childhood conditioning that equates speaking up with danger or rejection, this episode explores the transformative power of "healthy defiance" - a balanced approach to standing firm while maintaining respect for others and honoring your faith.
When raised with unquestioned obedience, many Muslim women develop patterns that persist into adulthood: anxiety during minor disagreements, compulsive over-explaining, constant apologizing, and either complete withdrawal or defensive outbursts when faced with feedback. These are protective mechanisms developed early in life that no longer serve their purpose. Your racing heart during a routine workplace critique isn't weakness; it's your nervous system misinterpreting neutral situations as threats based on past experiences.
Healthy defiance represents the middle path championed in Islamic tradition. Unlike reactivity driven by fear, it flows from self-respect and aligns perfectly with Quranic guidance to speak kindly (2:83) and argue in ways that are best (16:125). This episode offers practical approaches to rewiring your responses: increasing self-awareness of physical and mental reactions, challenging catastrophizing thoughts, and reframing criticism through faith. Remember that Allah's view of you transcends any human judgment, and standing up for truth honors the amanah (trust) He has placed in you regarding your wellbeing and dignity.
Start small - express a preference when you'd normally stay silent, decline a minor request you lack capacity for, or calmly address disrespectful behavior. With each boundary you set and maintain, you collect evidence that healthy assertiveness is safe, gradually reclaiming your authentic voice. Whether you're struggling with people-pleasing tendencies or finding yourself constantly defensive, this episode provides compassionate guidance for developing the untaught art of saying no while keeping faith at the center of your journey.

Defiance carries complex meanings in our tradition. While Islam emphasizes submission to Allah and respect for authority, it simultaneously commands us to stand firm for justice, even against ourselves or loved ones. This tension creates a profound question: when does saying "no" honor your faith rather than contradict it?
Through exploring both Quranic guidance and prophetic teachings, we discover that healthy defiance, refusing what harms your spiritual, physical, or mental wellbeing...isn't just permitted but sometimes required.
The challenge lies in discernment—distinguishing between ego-driven rebellion and principled resistance. When feeling pressured to conform, ask yourself: Does this please Allah? Does this protect my heart and body? Your answers illuminate the path forward.

Drawing inspiration from Ousama Alshurafa's teachings and book "The Afterlife Manual," this episode explores a powerful paradigm shift: recognizing that worldly causes (asbab) are not true agents of change or benefit, but rather veils through which Allah works His decree. Money doesn't benefit us with Allah's permission... rather, Allah benefits us through money. Medicine doesn't heal us...Allah heals us through medicine. This subtle language shift reflects a profound difference in belief and transforms our relationship with the world.
The concept connects beautifully with my coaching framework (Circumstances, Nervous System Thoughts, Emotions, Actions, Results). When we understand that circumstances are neutral and don't cause our emotions – our thoughts about them do – we reclaim tremendous agency. This perspective doesn't mean disengaging from the world; it means engaging with clarity and trust.
This episode touches on many practical applications, like noticing your language about causes and effects. When you catch yourself putting circumstances before Allah, gently correct yourself. Before taking medicine or making investments, intend in your heart: "I'm turning to Allah to bring about the benefit these means can provide." As you cultivate this awareness, you'll find greater peace, regardless of external conditions.

Have you been carrying the weight of "spiritual excellence" that feels more like perfection than peace?
This episode reveals how this beautiful Islamic teaching has been distorted through cultural lenses into perfectionism, people-pleasing, and emotional suppression. This misapplication has created generations of Muslims, especially women, who confuse being spiritually elevated with being emotionally suppressed. When sacred teachings become tools for spiritual bypassing, we lose connection to both ourselves and our Creator.
What would change if you reclaimed Ihsan as a practice that honors both divine wisdom and your personal dignity? What happens when something sacred to you is threatened or violated? That fire you feel rising within has a name – ghayra – and it's not just a male attribute as commonly misunderstood. It's a divine quality we all possess.
Ghayra transcends simple translation, encompassing protective jealousy, righteous indignation, and a fierce level of care for what's sacred. For too many Muslim women, this powerful emotional response has been systematically suppressed under cultural messaging to "stay quiet," "don't overreact," or "be patient." As a result women get disconnected from an essential internal guidance system that protects your dignity and honors your boundaries.
Through clear examples and practical distinctions, this episode reveals how to differentiate between righteous ghayra (rooted in love and dignity) and reactive ghayra (fueled by ego and insecurity). You'll learn why this matters in everyday situations – from workplace dynamics to marriage relationships to parenting challenges. Most importantly, you'll discover how to train your nervous system to hold this emotional charge without either suppressing it or being consumed by it.
Whether you've spent years shrinking from your protective instincts or you've become addicted to the emotional intensity of conflict, this episode offers a middle path: learning to channel your sacred fire as the spiritual guidance system it was meant to be. Your boundaries deserve protection. Your dignity matters. And learning to honor the divine quality of ghayra within you is essential to your spiritual and emotional wellbeing.

What if your attention, not your time or money, is actually your most precious resource? This groundbreaking episode explores the neuroscience behind our focus and reveals why the currency of attention shapes everything in our lives.
Our brains physically change based on what we pay attention to. When we focus on chaos and problems, we strengthen neural pathways for reactivity. When we attend to healing and joy, those circuits become more dominant. This neuroplasticity happens constantly, whether we're aware of it or not, making our attention the ultimate determinant of our experience.
Modern life has created a crisis of attention. Between device notifications and trauma-reinforced hypervigilance, we've become experts at scanning our environment while losing touch with our internal landscape. This diminished interoception, our ability to sense and interpret bodily sensations and emotions, creates a mind-body disconnect that blocks access to our innate healing intelligence. The antidote? Deliberate inward redirection, asking ourselves "What sensation am I feeling right now?" without judgment.
But not all attention is created equal. The quality matters tremendously. When we ask disempowering questions like "Why is this so hard?", our brain-as-search-engine diligently finds evidence supporting that narrative. By shifting to questions that engage our right hemisphere—"What part of this isn't hard?"—we create cognitive flexibility and access to creative solutions. This explains why somatic practices are so transformative: they bypass rumination and directly engage the nervous system, creating immediate state changes.

The flood of emotions you experience when someone you love is hurting? It's not just empathy; it might be toxic empathy that's destroying your peace.
Toxic empathy occurs when you become so entangled in others' emotions that you can't distinguish where their feelings end and yours begin. For many Muslim women especially it's a learned survival strategy born from cultural expectations to carry emotional labor without complaint.
The solution is learning to build gates, not barriers. Through the soulful intelligence paradigm, you can develop the ability to feel with someone without drowning in their experience. You can offer genuine support without making their healing your responsibility. This transformation begins by recognizing that empathy should be a momentary connection, not a constant burden.
Whether you're dealing with a frustrated spouse, a child's meltdown, or difficult workplace conversations, regulated empathy lets you stay connected without getting consumed.

The endless pursuit of achievement, validation, and perfection has become the silent struggle of many Muslim women today. We dive deep into a profound dilemma: the confusion between self-worth and value that keeps high-achieving women trapped in cycles of burnout and spiritual disconnection.
Your worth was never meant to be earned. Before your name, before your body, even before your first breath, your soul stood before Allah SWT and acknowledged Him as your Lord. That moment, not your accomplishments, sealed your worth forever. Yet many of us use "crutches" to hold up our self-worth: career success, perfect motherhood, flawless homemaking, or even our spiritual practices. These virtuous pursuits become burdens when our identities depend on them.
What crutches are you using to hold up your self-worth? What would change if you believed you were already worthy? Free yourself from the need to prove, perform, or please. Your worship, your work, your relationships can all flow from a place of inherent worthiness rather than desperate striving. This isn't just easier—it's sacred.

Do you ever sense something's wrong but can't quite grasp what it is? That foggy feeling might be evidence of internal gaslighting – a psychological phenomenon where your personal qareen (the Islamic concept of an individual's shaitan) subtly manipulates your perception of reality.
This podcast explores how this spiritual gaslighter operates with Oscar-worthy precision, creating emotional confusion without ever being detected. Rather than making overtly negative statements, your qareen plants doubt through implications: "I'm not saying I'm a bad mom, but..." followed by evidence that leads to exactly that conclusion. The brilliance of this tactic is that it bypasses your conscious defenses, making the real problem always feel just beyond your reach.
For high-functioning Muslim women, this manifests in constantly denying what's truly bothering them. You might hear yourself saying "I don't care what others think" while secretly ruminating on criticism, or "I'm not judging" while comparison steals your joy. These contradictions aren't moral failings but protection strategies that shaitan weaponizes. The tragedy isn't in experiencing negative emotions – jealousy, judgment, or anger – but in being unable to recognize them. When emotions remain unnamed, they can't be transformed through dua, self-reflection, or conscious redirection.
The path to freedom begins with radical honesty – telling yourself the unfiltered truth about what you're feeling. This isn't contrary to Islamic teachings; rather, it embodies true tawakkul, trusting that Allah's mercy encompasses even your most uncomfortable emotions. When you bring your whole, unsanitized experience to Allah, you create the spiritual intimacy that leads to genuine transformation. Join me in the Empowered Muslim Women Coaching Program where we learn to unmask the internal gaslighter and reclaim our emotional clarity through Islamic psychology.

Your body knows things before your mind does. That uncomfortable feeling in your chest when someone walks in the room. The inexplicable dread about a perfectly pleasant social gathering. The tension that arises during conversations that seem fine on the surface. All of these sensations come from what we can call your "neuroceptive self" - the part of you that's constantly scanning your environment for signs of safety or danger without your conscious awareness.
Based on Dr. Stephen Porges' concept of neuroception from polyvagal theory, this internal surveillance system operates beneath language and logical thought. While your aware self wakes up in the morning and makes decisions, reads, reflects, and responds in full sentences, your neuroceptive self works silently in the background, interpreting every facial expression, tone of voice, and subtle cue around you. It doesn't weigh pros and cons - it simply reacts and feels, creating sensations that often leave us confused about our own emotional responses.
The disconnect between what we intellectually know and what we physically feel creates what coaching calls a "slippery brain." We say things like: "It's not like I think my friend doesn't care, but I get this pit in my stomach when we part ways." This happens because our aware self, trained to be rational and measured, rushes to explain away the pain without acknowledging it first. But real healing doesn't come from constantly rewiring your story to sound better - it comes from slowing down enough to honor what your body felt initially. By learning to decode these signals instead of dismissing them, you can transform confusion into clarity and begin to create genuine safety from within. When you understand that your felt sense of safety isn't found in escape or external circumstances but in your relationship with your body and with Allah, everything changes. Your neuroceptive self becomes not a source of confusion, but a sacred guide to deeper healing.

In this powerful exploration of action versus inspiration, we uncover why the human brain isn't designed for constant motivational highs. While society glorifies "feeling inspired" as a prerequisite for meaningful work, true success comes from showing up when you don't feel like it.
Your brain doesn't actually break under pressure, it builds. It's anti-fragile, meaning it doesn't just survive stress, it transforms and strengthens through it. When left without clear targets, your mind creates elaborate distractions, turning to judgment, excessive research, and scrolling, all sophisticated forms of avoidance that feel productive but keep you stuck.

While women's gatherings offer beautiful opportunities for sisterhood, laughter, and validation, they can unwittingly become breeding grounds for negative thought patterns. Each time we share our struggles, about parenting difficulties, business challenges, or relationship problems, without the intention to think differently, we strengthen neural pathways attached to those limiting stories. What begins as validation transforms into an emotional quicksand where our pain becomes our personality.
The difference between healing and habitual reliving is subtle but profound: healing happens when you hear something unfamiliar and let it land, while habitual reliving just replays the same painful narrative. One expands your emotional bandwidth; the other contracts it.
This episode contains practical guidance for transforming validation from mere comfort into a catalyst for change. By asking yourself "Am I building a bridge out of this experience or digging myself deeper into it?" before sharing, you can harness the true power of connection. Your friendships can either reinforce your limitations or inspire your growth, the choice lies in your intention.
Take a moment to reflect on how you're using your conversations. Are you training your brain to love your story more than the solution? The path to transformation begins with allowing yourself to be not just seen but also challenged, not just validated but truly changed.

I believe Allah's command to maintain family ties isn't about other people, its about your own emotional evolution.
This podcast is about high-frequency spiritual technology that transforms your difficult relationships. When Allah SWT instructs us not to sever kinship ties, He's offering us a divine curriculum for developing emotional intelligence and spiritual mastery. This is really far from trapping believers in toxic dynamics, this teaching provides a pathway to unprecedented personal growth.
The neurobiological benefits are profound. When we maintain family connections from a place of genuine love rather than obligation, our bodies respond by producing oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine, creating a feedback loop that heals us from within. Here we create important distinctions between boundaries created from love versus those arising from anger.
Real boundaries feel like peace and sovereignty; they don't require defending or explaining. False boundaries, often disguised in spiritual language like "he should know better", keep us emotionally hooked and energetically drained. Before setting any boundary, we must ask: "What is the emotional fuel behind this boundary? Is it exhaustion and revenge, or love and respect?"

This episode breaks down two powerful approaches to nervous system regulation. First, we explore body-based processing techniques including orienting, vocal vibration (dhikr), butterfly taps, deep sighing, and cold water resets. These bottom-up approaches allow your body's intelligence to interrupt panic cycles when thinking has become part of the problem.
Then we go into mind-based regulation through the C-NEAR method (Circumstance, Nervous System Thoughts, Emotions, Actions, Results). This approach helps you catch the thoughts driving chaos, create space between triggers and responses, and consciously choose different perspectives that bring your system back to safety.
What makes this work profound is understanding that these complementary approaches to the same destination. Sometimes processing through the body clears mental fog, while other times changing a thought gives your body permission to release tension it's been holding.
Put these methods into practice and then look for micro-shifts: Are you pausing more before reacting? Sleeping better? Recovering from stress more quickly? Small improvements signal your practice is working.

A regulated nervous system is the hidden key that unlocks transformative change in virtually every area of life. When your body's threat detection system operates optimally, you gain the remarkable ability to feel difficult emotions without becoming them. You develop that crucial pause...the space between stimulus and response...where wisdom enters and choices expand. Rather than being hijacked by anger, fear, sadness, or shame, you learn to alchemize these powerful energies into purposeful action.
Throughout this episode, we explore how dysregulation manifests as a biased narrator of your life, interpreting neutral situations through lenses of suspicion and hypervigilance. We dispel the myth that regulation means becoming emotionless or perpetually peaceful. Instead, you'll discover how regulation offers creative power over emotions—transforming anger into boundaries, jealousy into motivation, shame into insight, and fear into focus. The difference becomes clear: without regulation, emotions use you; with regulation, you use emotions.
Most powerfully, we address how regulation changes your relationship with past trauma. By understanding that trauma (what happened) and dysregulation (how your body responded) are separate entities, you gain the ability to approach healing with steadier hands and calmer breath. This distinction alone may revolutionize your healing journey.
Ready to transform reactions into wisdom and survival into thriving? Listen now to discover practical insights about nervous system regulation that could genuinely fix everything—not by making the world easier, but by making you better equipped to navigate it.

Life coaching... the real, transformative kind, reveals these outdated narratives and offers something profoundly powerful that other healing approaches sometimes miss. As both a physician and a life coach, I've witnessed how coaching unveils the truth that you're not broken; you're simply loyal to thoughts that once kept you safe but no longer serve you. While therapy, self-help books, and spiritual practices provide valuable language for your struggles, coaching delivers the transformation you actually need.
Your brain, designed for efficiency, repeats familiar thoughts even when they hurt you. It whispers constant danger signals, keeping your body in fight-or-flight mode. But when coaching helps you recognize and rewrite these stories, your nervous system finally relaxes.
For Muslim women specifically, I've created a sacred coaching container that combines life coaching principles with Islamic teachings, addressing the unique emotional and generational complexities we carry. This space,Wisdom Wednesdays and the Empowered Muslim Women program, helps women repair relationships, heal from shame, and rise into versions of themselves that feel whole and worthy.

For generations, women have been systematically taught to forget their inner intelligence. Patriarchal systems have consistently reinforced the notion that the male perspective is inherently correct. This disconnection from our own wisdom has profound consequences: we mistake silence for righteousness, shrink ourselves and call it humility, endure emotional pain and label it patience. When opportunities pass us by because of these learned limitations, it appears to validate the oppressor's claim that women are somehow less capable.
The painful truth is that patriarchy thrives on hierarchy. It's built on the belief that someone must occupy the top position while another remains beneath—a dynamic that contradicts the Islamic vision of marriage as a mutual agreement and source of peace. When we're told repeatedly that our worth is connected to having successful relationships or bearing children, we begin to believe our value exists only in relation to others. But your worth remains 100% whole whether you're married, single, divorced, or childless. You are worthy because Allah created you worthy—no hierarchy can add to that, no relationship can validate it, no absence of a partner can diminish it.
Healing begins with awareness and giving your experiences language. It requires recognizing this isn't about your personality flaws, but about socialized patterns. My work isn't about convincing anyone of their worth, but helping them remember what they've always been. Whether through coaching, reading, journaling, or whatever tools speak to you, don't wait for someone else's growth before reclaiming your power.

Our brains resist change as an energy-saving mechanism, defaulting to negative self-talk to prevent the resource-intensive process of neuroplasticity.
• Default brain circuitry (nafs) creates resistance by telling us we're broken or incapable
• Change requires breaking down neural pathways and rebuilding new ones, which consumes energy
• When attempting change, the brain offers frightening "truths" that aren't revelations but defense mechanisms
• Spiritual growth often feels difficult because our brains resist new interpretations, even positive ones
• Three-step solution: stop giving default thoughts special treatment, borrow a regulated nervous system through coaching, and shift in small incremental degrees
• Walking through the "panic zone" of the brain without believing its stories is key to transformation
• Small consistent changes compound over time like shifting a ship's course by one degree
Remember to ask yourself: What three things do you want to change but keep putting off? What story does your brain tell when you attempt change? Is your brain resisting because the path is wrong or because it's new?

Female friendships provide irreplaceable support as our cheerleaders, therapists, and comedy specials rolled into one, but they can subtly transform from empowering sisterhoods into dependency cycles that erode self-trust. The danger lies in constantly seeking validation from others instead of trusting our own judgment, slowly outsourcing our decision-making and disconnecting from our inner guidance.
• The difference between seeking advice versus seeking permission
• How dependency on external validation chips away at self-respect
• Why constantly polling friends for decisions teaches us our judgment isn't enough
• Common subconscious lies we tell ourselves about friendship and decision-making
• Reframing discomfort as an invitation to reconnect with yourself
• The paradox that less approval-seeking creates deeper connections
• Practical steps to rebuild self-trust while maintaining meaningful friendships
• Why true friendships reflect your power back to you instead of replacing it
May our relationships be sources of love, growth, and peace, with our confidence always rooted in Allah alone.

What if the microaggressions are windows into profound personal growth? This eye-opening exploration reveals how the subtle comments and behaviors that cause harm can become unexpected catalysts for self-awareness, emotional resilience, and spiritual refinement.
When someone directs a microaggression toward you, they're unknowingly offering a glimpse into their true beliefs. When a microaggression lands with force, it's often touching on something you're already sensitive about. This presents a valuable opportunity to strengthen your relationship with that part of yourself. Not to accept their judgment, but to own your narrative and do the inner work that helps you feel secure. Similarly, these moments can expose harmful socialized beliefs you might have unconsciously internalized, allowing you to break free from limiting expectations.

Recognizing microaggressions is one thing—responding to them is another. In this episode, we break down the art of addressing microaggressions with assertiveness, wisdom, and emotional control. Whether you gently correct someone (call-in) or firmly set a boundary (call-out), the goal isn’t to prove a point—it’s to protect your peace.
The 3-Step Framework for Responding to Microaggressions:
Emotional Regulation – How to ground yourself before responding
Choosing Your Approach – The difference between calling in and calling out
Holding Your Ground – Maintaining dignity, self-respect, and clarity
Every response you give teaches people how to treat you. The way you hold yourself in these moments determines whether you stay in cycles of silent harm or step into self-respect and empowerment.
This isn’t easy work. You’ll have moments of doubt, but your voice matters, and your boundaries are valid. In this episode, we share real-life examples of firm yet compassionate responses and explore the balance between strength and empathy.

Microaggressions might seem small and insignificant in isolation, but they function as seeds of harm that, when left unchecked, will grow into deeper patterns of emotional distress and damaged relationships. This episode builds on our previous discussion by providing a comprehensive framework for identifying distinct categories of microaggressions that might be affecting your life.
The power of recognition cannot be overstated. When you develop awareness of these patterns, you begin to see where you've been allowing harm into your lives and relationships.
This episode offers specific examples within each category, from the invasive questioning so common in Muslim communities .

This is Part 1 of a 4-part series on microaggressions, framed through the lens of spiritual purification in preparation for Ramadan.
Microaggressions may seem subtle and harmless, but they are anything but. These small, everyday slights accumulate into patterns that erode confidence, distort self-worth, and set the stage for bigger harms, whether in relationships, communities, or even within ourselves.
This episode explores:
What microaggressions are and how they differ from overt discrimination.
The spectrum of awareness—from calculated subtle attacks to unintentional biases.
How microaggressions shape the brain and train us to tolerate disrespect.
Why these behaviors are not “just jokes” or “small annoyances” but the early signs of emotional harm.
The impact of microaggressions in marriage, community, and personal relationships.
How to recognize, name, and interrupt microaggressions before they become the foundation for toxic dynamics.
You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of why microaggressions matter, how they impact you long-term, and the power of awareness to break the cycle.

“What if the deepest truths you believe about yourself… aren’t actually true?”
Your reality isn’t shaped by conscious choices, t’s shaped by imprints. The beliefs you hold about love, money, confidence, and success aren’t objective truths. They’re just thoughts that have been repeated so many times, with enough emotion and reinforcement, that they no longer feel like thoughts… they feel like facts.
In this episode, we unravel the power of psychological imprinting:
If you’ve ever felt like you’re “just not that kind of person” or that certain things are simply true for you—this episode will challenge everything you think you know.
You'll learn in this deposits:
The Neuroscience of Change: How to Rewire an Imprint
Your brain is malleable. It wants to change. The same way an imprint was formed is the same way it can be undone, with repetition, emotion, and new experiences.
Your mind only works to prove what you already believe.
Let’s rewrite your story, together.

Your brain is like a browser with 37 tabs open—some are useful, but most are just noise. Yet, no one ever taught you how to filter them. Instead, you’ve been conditioned to believe every thought that pops into your head, even the ones that make you doubt yourself, overanalyze everything, and stay stuck in survival mode. But here’s the truth: you don’t have to accept every thought as fact. The real power isn’t in thinking more—it’s in learning how to manage your thoughts so they actually serve you.

You’ll learn how to stop reacting to every intrusive idea, filter out the mental clutter, and train your brain to work for you, not against you. Because confidence and clarity don’t come from eliminating doubt—they come from knowing which thoughts deserve your attention and which ones need to be ignored. When you understand this, you stop living at the mercy of your mind and start using it as the powerful tool it was meant to be.

This is not a fun title for a podcast, but it IS an extremely important topic.
Self Pity can be so subtle and unrecognizable at times and completely rob us of our life's purpose.
This emotion doesn't feel good
But its low frequency doesn't feel too bad either. Which is why it escapes under the radar for a long time
Listen to this podcast to see if this emotional baggage is something you are carrying around under your awareness. Also, in this episode I discuss how to differentiate between depression and prolonged self pity.
This topic has been a long time coming because in this episode I discuss what are the most common misconceptions about life coaching.
I also describe many ideas that will help you in your own journey of self actualization and help you see areas of your blocks.
Don't forget to leave this podcast a review ;)
Where do we draw the line of taking too much action vs leaving it to Allah?
How much action is too much?
How do we incorporate the metaphysical realities of our faith, with physical realities of the world?
I address these and so many other deep questions in this podcast. You will walk away with a different and constructive outlook after listening to this episode inshaAllah,
If this podcast makes a difference in your life, please consider leaving a review. ;)
I want you guys to reconsider the way you evaluate your results. There is a wrong and a right way to do this. Right way will feel freeing, not as judgmental, and will give you an improved result next time you take action. The wrong way will not let you move past asking the question, what needs to change here? because the answer to that question will be full of judgment.
In this podcast, I make a claim that judgement blocks the life of ihsan, and evaluation from non-judgment actually promotes it.
Listen in to see how that is true.
Sometimes there is a huge gap between what we think we want to do, and what ends up happening.
Intentions are sentences in our mind that generate an outcome. This outcome is our impact. Mostly, if our impact is the not the same as our intentions, then chances are we need to reveal some subconscious patterns that are creating a completely different impact.
In this podcast I give examples and show you guys different ways how to improve our impact.
This is a powerful concept, so listen again, take notes, whatever it takes to embody it.
Don't forget to leave me a good review on the podcast platform of your choice ;)

Google defines Personification as: the attribution of a personal nature or human characteristics to something nonhuman, or the representation of an abstract quality in human form.
We can use the method of personification to help us visualize abstract concepts, and the best use of this method is to use it to better get in tough with your emotions.
In this emotion, I talk about how it was difficult for me to experience the feelings of curiosity and how I changed it so that I can tap into this emotion to fuel my creativity.
Use this method to better get in tough with any emotion that you want to enjoy! Pleasure, satisfaction, happiness. You might have been denying yourself positive emotions for so long that now you are completely detached from those sensations. This process of personification of emotions that I outline in this podcast, helps you get in touch with these positive emotions so you can capitalize on that energy and channel it to create a dream life InshaAllah.
The world is filled with different people.
Everyone brings their own experience to the table, and sometimes their experience does not match yours.
So, what do to in situations where you need to have a difficult conversation? Sometimes it is from a position of leadership, sometimes as a parent, sometimes as a child to parents that seem inflexible.
In this podcast, we talk about how to have difficult conversations with ease. Take notes or listen to it again and again. Whatever you need to do to see the transformation. You have the method here, you just have to implement it. Because difficult conversations can be a part of every relationship, so why not make them easy?
Sometimes our mood is great, and everything is fun and peachy. Other times not so much. In this episode we explore the difference between mood, temperament and personality, and how we can improve our mood if we wanted to.

There is time management, then there is time management from a place of peace.

Peaceful time management leads to lasting habits of prioritizing goals that are valuable to you. listen to the episode to see how I reach all my goals with efficiency from a place of joy!
This is a super inspirational concept, one that I could quickly apply and see immediate results. I do a review of some topics and I introduce many new ones that InshaAllah you'll find incredibly helpful.

What is the best thing that can happen to you?
I really want to tell you the answer, but I also really want you to listen to the podcast.
In this episode we talk about what is the best thing and the worst thing that can happen to you,. We explore why human beings mistakenly lead an unconscious life and what do you have to do live a conscious life.
Practicing this concept has totally changed my life. InshAllah it will do the same for you.
What do you call effective action?
Something that helps you create results in your life that you actually want.
Effective action will lead to weight loss, will lead to successful parenting, will lead to a profitable business, will lead to physical fitness, if these are the results you are looking for.
We are mostly stuck in ineffective action, busy work, going through the motions but not really generating any desired results. In the meanwhile, blaming our circumstances for not being in our favor. All actions come from our thoughts, so in order to take effective action we have to start with our mind!
In this episode I breakdown the method that you can apply to start taking effective action today.
In this episode you learn how to disarm criticism.
Super useful skill for you professional, personal and spiritual lives. Criticism can be brutal sometimes, specially when we receive it from loved ones who should have our backs. If it comes from our boss we start to sense that we are not good at the work. Luckily for this method, other people don't have to change at all which makes it so much easier. Because trying to change others so they won't be critical of you, is a massive waste of energy.
If this content helped you in anyway, don't forget to leave us a review on iTunes or on a platform of your choice,
We are mostly aware of compassion fatigue. It describes the psychological impact of helping others through their trauma.
But what about self-self compassion fatigue? This is an intriguing concept because if you are blind to this, it can lead you down the wrong way of recovery. If identified appropriately, it can save you a lot of hassle and drama in your healing journey.
It is a shortest possible way to get to self love. I am grateful for this concept because it has helped me tremendously in my own growth. I practice each and every call to action that I ask you guys to take in this episode. It is truly transformative.
Enjoy.
What is the picture that comes to your mind when I say the word modest?
A woman in hijab, isn't it?
In this episode I describe how modesty is a part of haya, and how they are different. Haya is an attribute of Allah , and is in the character of the Prophet PBUH and his closest companions.
Haya as described in the episode is the key to professional success. Listen and find out!
Unprocessed trauma is going to show up everywhere in your life. You will find that your progress with halt at a certain point unless you pay attention to the signals your body is sending you in regards to your past.
Raising your trauma IQ and processing it, is an extremely important skill to master.

Long discussed topic among Islamic scholars is where accountability for our actions starts. This is a fascinating topic to me and having gone through my own self development work, I have adopted a popular opinion about when does accountability actually starts for human actions
Listen in to find out the details and the evidence for my position.
We are all high performing at some level.

as was mentioned in this episode.
Abundance Mindset is a practice of thoughts. This is the opposite of a vicious circle. In a vicious circle, one thing feeds off the next that feeds the 1st and everything spirals down.
In abundance mindset, you elevate others, and not only do you elevate other, you have to come from an elevated place to do it in the 1st place. So you build yourself up, and bring others up with you, build yourself up more and elevate others. Told ya! opposite of the vicious circle. Not to mention, when everyone practices this mentality, they bring you up as well! Super cool bonus.
Find out how we can practice that in today's world, and how much Islam promotes abundance.
Lets talk about marriage! and finding a spouse! and how to do it right!
YESS.... I think this topic is soooo needed. In this podcast you'll discover the difference between desirability and your WANT to be desired. These are 2 completely different things, but often they are confused to be the same. Reason it becomes important for us to differentiate between the 2 is because this becomes a key to show up as a confident person, no matter if you are looking for a spouse, or if you already have one. Confidence in a relationship is a major contributor to the satisfaction in the relationship.
This podcast will tell you how important your internal emotional state is for you. Lucky for us, that state is under our control through our thoughts.
Indulgent emotions are feelings that seem important, but get us no results. Listen in to find out which of these emotions you are constantly indulging in, keeping you from creating a life of your design.
I am going to keep this podcast light, because I am going to give you this week to implement what you've learned. Implementation is the key behind knowledge, otherwise there is minimal knowledge can do.
Don't worry about implementing a lot, take a small action and be consistent with it. It's about repetition. In this episode we talk about what negativity bias is and how it is showing up in your life, and how to implement thought output, and self reflection will held you get out of this bias.
Enjoy!
This episode teaches you about mind control!!
Well not really, but it comes pretty close. At ILCS we work very hard to control our minds, that's the only thing we CAN control. But in this episode find out how you can influence change in other people's behavior. This method has transformed my life and many of my clients' lives.
Listen in to find out for yourself if this is mind control or not. OR you might say this is something more effective!
I title this episode after a coaching concept that has been life changing for me and my clients. Manuals. Kind of like manuals that you get with a new car or a new appliance. Only this time we are talking about manuals we have created for people we are in a relationship with.
I talk about how these are detrimental to our well being and the well being of the relationship. But like always, I also tell you how to get out of this trap.
When you listen to this podcast, just remember, all of us have manuals for other. If you can't find any look harder. If you are finding struggle in a relationship, chances are its because you have subconsciously developed a manual.
Lets change the narrative of a relationship that the culture feeds us, and lets create one that feeds our mental health!!
Topic of emotions is near and dear to my heart, as a life coach and as a human!

Since everything is created from thoughts, wouldn't it be nice if we could measure our progress?
Say no more! because the Thought-Work scale does exactly that.
Listen to this episode to find out how you can monitor your progress towards your mental health goals. Make the joyful thoughts easy and repetitive with practice, until they are a zero on a thought-work scale
Even the automatic actions of watching TV to bring you relaxation. TV does not cause you to relax, your thoughts do, they are just automatic and easy, a zero on the scale. That way you don't have to do the thought work around your difficult day at work.
But in the end, watching TV as an escape gives you an overall net negative result in your life, while doing the thought work around your work day will open doors of success and a net positive result.
Trust me guys, if I could spoon feed you thought work I would. But that is not something that I can do for and not something that can be done with knowledge. You HAVE to do the work. Otherwise mental health will remain an illusive dream. That will be a tragedy, because superior mental health is for everyone. EVERYONE.
This thought-work scale is a tool to monitor your progress towards superior mental health.
This topic is specially close to my heart. This is where my journey of self development started. I pray it inspires you to start this journey as well.
In this episode I mention why following a pure desire is important for the health of the mind and the family unit. I also tell you that calculus was one of the most difficult subjects I had to take ( that's a thought I know.... but I am sticking with it ;) )

What a joy it was to create this podcast!
By the end of this podcast, you will have all the tools that you need to create JOY now!
Also, what is a baby kangaroo called?? Weird question you might say,! Yes weird indeed, but still relevant. Find out why :)
Needless to say we all need joy in our life. I manage my mind a lot to be to deliberately create joy, because that lower brain is always ready to take us for a ride! I say not today lower brain, not today!
Use power of observation of your thoughts to your advantage. I review the formula briefly here and then I describe more advanced concepts to help you in the path of self coaching and mental health.
I describe why it is so important to get to the source of your thoughts, and how to clean them up effectively so that it causes a transformation, rather than a change. Self coaching is simple, but it is not easy. Quran urges you to ponder 750 times in some shape or form. This is an open invitation for humans to start the path of self exploration, so they can arrive at the right conclusions InshaAllah. Please join me in this podcast as I explain the step by step of how to start this journey and create a transformation through meta-cognition and the self coaching model.
In this episode I bring a unique approach where we can use judgement of others for our character refinement.
Say what?
I judge others and my character improves? How could that be possible?
In this podcast I describe how we can use judgement of others as an introspection tool, and how useful that can be. Judgement is part of human wiring, so instead of shaming yourself for having it, use it to make some lasting change in yourself and in your circumstance. Use this process to command respect and actually change the outcome.
Creating a podcast on this topic was a true joy for me. Allah at the center of our lives. How else have we been living our lives? is there anything else that can be the center of the focus of our lives?
These are important questions that we rarely stop to ask ourselves. Yet, every human being is designed to live a life of a higher purpose, devoid of the needs of this world. Listen in to today's podcast to find out how to make Allah the center of our life and how to truly succeed.
This episode is for all of us who say they can't stay consistent with a task. And there are a lot of us who say that :)
Find out how to start and stay consistent with a task. In this podcast I given an example of being consistent with the Quran. You can apply these ideas to any goal you want to be consistent with.
InshaAllah these methods will create a lasting change for you as they did for me.
Let's talk about pleasure. Things that taste so good and bring us instant gratification, like sugar, chocolate, shopping. I talk about not to state the obvious, AGAIN, but to tell you how we can use these pleasures to gain well being and wholeness!
SAY WHAT?? well being through SUGAR.... well it's not simple, but it is Doable ;)
Also, InshaAllah this podcast will publish in Ramadan, so this topic of pleasure might seem out of place for this month. But after you listen you'll find out why it is exactly the right topic for this month.
And if you listen to it outside of Ramadan, then you still gain the benefit of these concepts.
In this episode I talk about how to utilize Ramadan for the health benefits of weight loss. I have been meaning to talk about these concepts for the longest time, and I thought Ramadan would be the best time for it. I talk about how to handle urges for food and control diet for emotional eaters. This topic resonates with so many of us. Eating from emotions. We have done it for a long time and we struggle with weight loss because of it. Here I describe what it would be like just to feel the emotion rather than eating from it. That's how to gain permanent weight loss.
I have taken a complex subject and attempted to distill it down to one podcast, while keeping it relevant for Ramadan so InshaAllah we take the most benefit. Take a listen, and leave me a review on iTunes!!
Have a blessed Ramadan!
Is empowerment over rated? everyone seems to be talking about it and yet we all seem to be struggling with it. That is because empowerment is a practice, you keep working towards it. Its not like once you found empowerment you are set for life, its actually not that easy. Which is why when we hear about empowerment it might seem it is an over discussed topic because we are always struggling to stay in empowerment.
In this podcast, I describe a shortcut to it and I define what I call the zone of empowerment. Remember the definitions I give you in this podcast and you will find it much easier find to your empowerment and stay there!
I am so excited for this topic.
How to make decisions you ask? I say taking advice works temporarily but eventually fails. Then we seek more advice, more answers from sources and keep searching. Only we can make decisions about our life. And for important decisions we think have to have all the knowledge so we can be sure it is the right decision. But I am going to teach you that you already have all the knowledge that you need to make important decisions. You have the answer.
Don't believe me? Let me prove it to you in this podcast.
This does not mean do not seek knowledge! It just means don't delay decision making based on gathering ALL the knowledge. That will never happen and it will be an excuse for you to keep procrastinating making a decision.
People that are very good at delaying decisions, know exactly what I am talking about!
In this podcast we talk about how to take advice from your future self, to create change today. Write your younger self a letter and give yourself advice. You are the best person to take advice from. Find out how!
Borrow future thinking to apply to now so you can change the trajectory of your life. This is a powerful concept that has proven to be true time and time again for me and many coaches and clients.
In this podcast you get to learn how to find your true freedom. What does freedom even mean? why does it matter? True freedom comes from enslaving yourself to Allah. Ironic that a type of slavery is actually freedom. I have no doubt you guys will truly enjoy this take on slavery.
In this podcast I talk about the need of emotions and how they fuel our actions. We also consider gender differences in emotions and how emotions are source of strength of women if channeled properly.
This is one of my favorite podcasts. I have been meaning to elaborate on this concept of emotional mass for a while now, and I finally address it here. InshaAllah you will all find benefit in it. I am really very excited about this subject in general and I get to explain it in Islamic terms, that is a true blessing.

This is a very important skill to gain and InshAllah I pray that you find benefit in this topic.

Quran emphasizes difference in 2 main types of language that I describe in this podcast. We go through examples of making your language neutral about your circumstances so you can gain perspective about your situation and not be reactive to it. Information in this episode is another step towards being less reactive to our environment. Learn and ENJOY life!

Prefrontal cortex is in-charge of all future planning, which is why you have all these big goals and dreams. But when time comes to actually act on something that is in line with your future goal, you procrastinate. That's because the primitive brain is in-charge in the now! when you don't execute on your plan, you have given in to the lower brain and ignored what your higher brain had in plans for you. Then you say " o I don't know why this keeps happening to me, I don't know why I can never finish what I set out to do?"
This episode will show you the answer to that problem. Scheduled and following through with it. Listen, apply and watch your life change!

Hi guys!
This time we are talking about mental health. My favorite topic!
Life is 50/50, you will always face the difficult times and happy times. Life is half and and half. Considering that there is something wrong with your mental health just because you are having a hard time managing your mind around challenging times, is very natural, but completely unnecessary. It when we assign mental illness diagnosis to normal human emotion is when it gets the better of us. And weird thing about negative emotions, the more you run from them, the bigger they get. There is nothing wrong with you for feeling negative emotions. Stress, anxiety, sadness is a part of life. listen to this podcast to get details and how to embrace emotions rather than running from them.
In this episode we talk about the powerful concept of self love, worthiness and how to use the power of the mind to identify self love in this very moment. You will have found self love when you are done listening to this podcast. That is my promise to you❤❤
Separate self love from narcissism, and use this love to set goals that will create a life you love. Can't wait to hear from you guys!!!
Hello there!!
How incredible that we are on our 3rd episode.
In this episode I share insight into changing your thought pattern and how sometimes it can be difficult to recognize that what you have believed most of your life is just a thought. I offer you strategies that you can use to be more understanding and less judgemental of your thoughts. 😊 I hope you enjoy and take some real value from this episode!!❤❤
In this episode we talk about where do thoughts originate from and how to pick them to serve our purpose. To reach our goal, we need to consciously pick a thought that helps us. Very SIMPLY, and I mean in a PAINFULLY simple way to describe is that thoughts originate from either the higher brain, the prefrontal cortex, or the lower brain, the hind brain and the amygdala.
Listen to the episode to learn the job of each of these parts of the brain and how each one is beautifully designed to serve us.
ENJOY!
Thank you for listening to the Islamic Life Coaching podcast. In this introductory podcast I will be teaching you a tool that CHANGED my life. After understandings of the basics and some practice, this tool has the potential to give you a life that will be unrecognizably successful.
How to define success you ask? I say success is ANYTHING you define it to be. It can be in relationships, career, spirituality and religion. If something is important to YOU, success can be reached in that field using this concept.
The tool is a Model that is abbreviated CTFAR.
C: circumstances
T: Thoughts
F: feelings
A: actions
R: results
Here at the Islamic Life Coach School, it is my life's mission to teach you everything this model has to offer and more.
