W/C 9th August 2021 This isn't my first time in Cornwall, and it isn't my first time running on the Camel Trail. I have been a frequent visitor to Padstow, way before it became Padstein and long before the inevitable gentrification that followed Mr Stein's rise to culinary celebrity. Not that I have anything against Rick I must add, but I think I preferred Padstow before they had to make provision for coach loads of sightseers. Anyway, I digress, the fact is I have run/walked/rode along the Camel Trail between Padstow & Wadebridge a-plenty over the years. But this year I am determined to see every bit of this beautiful 17ish mile former railway that winds its way from from Wenfordbridge to Padstow (calling at Wadebridge along the way). I would have loved to have travelled along it by train, indeed in the early morning stillness you can almost year the sounds of yesteryear.
