We were first introduced to Character Detective Inspector Tom Thorne 20 years ago in the novel sleepyhead by British author and former comedian Mark Billingham. After swapping an open mic for a laptop Mark’s rocked the crime fiction genre ever since. Mark’s latest book is Cry Baby - a prequel that gives insight into DI Thorne’s back story. Mark’s also written stand alone novels including a favourite of mine - Rush of Blood.
