This week, in honor of National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (March 10), HB and Lisa talk with Barb, who found out she, her 3-month old son, and her husband had AIDS in 1993. Upon hearing from her doctor that she likely had two years to live, she promptly said "no, you're wrong", and started working as an HIV/AIDS activist. We have an emotional conversation about her and her family's early struggles with HIV/AIDS, how she honors her son Logan's legacy today by educating youth about HIV, and how she has empowered herself and others to maintain a positive outlook and healthy life.
