John 3:1,2 Ampl. says...John 3:1-3
3 Now there was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler (member of the Sanhedrin) among the Jews, 2 who came to Jesus at night and said to Him, “Rabbi (Teacher), we know [without any doubt] that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs [these wonders, these attesting miracles] that You do unless God is with him.”

Nicodemus snuck away in the night to speak with Jesus because 1. Fear! He was a Pharisee and didn't his fellow members to know. ...The Pharisees were a a party that believed in resurrection and in following legal traditions, Jesus' teachings were questionable to their beliefs and they were after him to discredit and in the end get rid of him as a threat. Jesus didn't care care how he came...just so he did come to find answers for his soul. Just come today! If you seek Him you will find Him. Do it before it's too late!
