The DSA officers are joined by 2019 UH Dance graduate, Tempest McLendon, who shares her insight and personal experiences with navigating personal and artistic identity as a dancer. The dancers discuss the pros and cons of labels, grappling with overlapping identities and stereotypes, and ask the question: do artists have a responsibility to make political/social commentary in their work?
